On Friday we celebrated our annual race & presentation awards night, hosted by The Gamekeeper

First team Gaffer Max Alvy writes:

“We capped off the season on Friday night with our 2026 presentation and race night. A great night had by all and congratulations to all this years winners.

Although the season didn’t end how we wanted, both teams will take the many positives that have come out this past year and go for it all over again come September.

A final thank you to all our players, managers, committee members, sponsors and supporters this season who continue to endorse us and push this club forward.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Andrew this weekend, a much loved former player of Scotter United.

Andrew represented the club for many years, proudly wearing the shirt for both the First Team and Reserves. Having come through the ranks he made his debut around 16 years old along with a few others who came through from his age group. Andrew was a valued part of our football family at Scotter throughout his time with us and moments like these remind us that life is worth far more than the game itself. The friendships, memories, and people we share our journey with are what truly matter.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Andrew’s family and friends, Brigg Town Juniors U14’s and the wider Brigg Town community in this tough, unimaginable time.

Rest in peace, Andrew. You will always be remembered at Scotter United.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our U14 Manager, Andrew Casey, following a medical emergency at our Junior Presentation Day yesterday.

Despite the immediate assistance given at the scene by fellow coaches and the best efforts of the emergency services, Andrew sadly passed away.

Andrew was more than just a coach to our club. He was a dedicated manager, a friendly face to everyone he met, and someone who gave so much of his time and energy to his players and the wider club community. His passion for football, commitment to his team, and genuine kindness made a lasting impact on so many young people and families. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences are with Andrew’s family, friends, players, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to those who responded so quickly to offer assistance and support during the incident.

At this incredibly difficult time, we kindly ask that the privacy of Andrew’s family and those closest to him is respected.

Further updates regarding club activities and any arrangements to honour Andrew’s memory will be shared in due course.
