Scarborough Squash Academy is a relatively new Squash Club located on the North Yorkshire Coastline about five minutes from Scarborough town centre. An integral part of Scarborough Rugby Union Football club and Barons Fitness, the Squash Club is a first class, very modern Squash Facility, with under-floor heating and air conditioning. There is a full size restaurant which has recently been extended further, serving hot and cold meals, beverages, and alcohol. There are a total of five Gym facilities providing every form of exercise from Strength and conditioning, to Cardio vascular exercise, to Muscle building, Cycling and Cross-fit training. We are more than capable of building and providing every aspect of training for everyone, from a novice to a top class professional athlete. Squash training is provided by an England Squash certified, Level four coach with over forty years of experience at all levels of the game. Our Junior Academy is vibrant, rapidly expanding and is enjoying incredible success and recognition for such a young Academy. Scarborough Squash Academy continues to grow:

It is wonderful to see so many new faces, and particularly players from other clubs visiting Scarborough for training, friendly competition, and socialising with other players in a squash environment.
The standard is constantly improving and there is an extremely positive atmosphere around the club at present. Long may it continue!

Our reputation continues to grow, and our development strategy is working on every level, from junior to adult squash.

Many thanks to everyone who gives their precious time to come and play or train at Scarborough, and are currently buying into the long-term strategy.
We look forward to seeing many more in the future and everyone is more than welcome at Scarborough Squash Academy.

Scarborough Squash Academy is proud to announce the arrival of the new Club T-shirts:

The new official Scarborough Squash Academy t-shirts have arrived.
They are available in three colours:
Digital Lavender (The new official team colours).
Electric Orange
Hyper Pink

The official team colours will be the Digital Lavender shirt, with the other two colours: Electric Orange and Hyper Pink available for general sale.
They exceptionally good quality and can be washed in a normal wash.

The shirts are bristling with existing and many new sponsors to whom we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for their amazing and very welcome support.

Their contribution has not only provided funds for the new shirts, but made additional funds available for future activities, training and events at Scarborough Squash Academy, which is all part of the long-term, continued development objectives, and strategy at the academy.

The 4th of July 2026

What an incredible series!

After five rounds of Squash around the North Yorkshire region, the tournament reached its conclusion in round five at Malton.

What an outstanding achievement, by all of the players who took part. The turnout at each event and performance of the players surpassed our already high expectations!

There were no losers in this tournament. Every single player from the various clubs who participated, gave their absolute best and played with true sportsmanship, enthusiasm, friendship, and determination.

Congratulations to all of the 76 players from around the region and the tournament organisers who organised five brilliant events:

Nick Dukes as main coordinator/ organiser, Malton. Steve Everitt, Wigginton, Lew Marsden, Scarbrough, and Marie Elcock, Stillington.

Special Congratulations to our own players at Scarborough Junior Squash Academy.
The preparation, the training, the hard work and effort really paid off as our juniors produced some outstanding results.

We would also like to thank and congratulate the parents and guardians, without whom, these tournaments and indeed, Junior squash at Scarborough would not exist. Thank you for your unwavering support and taking the time to ferry the kids to training every day, and around the region over the past few years.
You should all be rightly proud of the achievements of our junior players!

What an amazing weekend! It was, without doubt, one of the best ever seen at Scarborough Squash Academy. With the senior event being played on Saturday. Followed by the Junior Championships on Sunday.
Congratulations to all who took part. The junior event produced some fantastic competition, played with true sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and determination.
There were some outstanding games throughout the course of the day, and one or two surprising results.
Our Junior Academy is thriving, and the youngsters improving visibly with every session.

An amazing weekend of squash at the Academy this weekend with our senior event being held on Saturday the 27th, and the Junior Squash Academy Championships held on the Sunday the 28th.

The senior individuals produced some fantastic competition and one or two upsets along the way. Particularly from some of our Junior players who were participating at senior level for the first time in a club Championships.

Exceptionally well done to all who took part.

Scarborough Squash Academy Individual Championships 2025 /26

The wait is finally over!
The Scarborough Squash Academy Championships begin on Saturday the 27th of June 2026 with the Adults playing on the Saturday, followed by the Junior Championships on Sunday the 28th of June.

This promises to be a very open and exciting competition with some very close matches, and some brilliant squash on both days.

There are some fabulous prizes on offer, not to mention the opportunity for someone to make club history and get their names on one the coveted Championship plaques!

Scarborough Squash Academy Individual closed Squash Championships 25 /26

A great way to finish the season and celebrate our many successes this year.
Please get your entries in as soon as possible, and let's have a wonderful finale to a wonderful season!

The Senior event will take place on Saturday the 27th of June, with the Junior Championships being held on Sunday the 28th of June.
Both events starting at 09:30 am.
