After the governments announcement of yet another Lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were left with no option but to close the gym as of Thursday the 5th of November.
The gym will remain closed and will reopen on Monday 7th December (unless Boris tells us other wise).
We are going to try and use this time to carry out some essential maintenance on the gym so hopefully the gym will have a fresh new look by the time we are all allowed back to train together!

Skills we need !!!

Following the governments most recent announcment, gyms are finally allowed to re-open again from the 25th July.
We are pleased to let you all know that we will be reopening from Monday 27th July 2020. ๐Ÿ‘Š

Classes will be Monday nights - 6pm till approximately 7pm (but we always run a bit late ๐Ÿ˜‰). Kids class wednesday - 6pm till 7pm. Classes are ยฃ5 per adult and ยฃ3.50 per child up to the age of 14.

If anyone would like any information on Private 1-1 training sessions, please contact Nick Phillips.

We will, of course, be taking all precautions to keep you as safe as possible but, please guys, use your common sense too. ๐Ÿ˜
Equipment will be disinfected after each session so no need to worry!

Today's kitchen circuit. If you fancy it.
1 minute rounds. X 10
1. weight curls
2. Sit ups
3. Jogging on the spot, high knees
4. Punches with lower weights.
Change tge sit ups to plank, alternate rounds.
Finish with 3 x 1 minute rounds of Shadow boxing to keep your technique in. Try this a couple of times a week at least.

Still a bit to wait till we're back open folks. Hope you're all staying safe. Try to keep up those exercises. Here's what I'm trying to get done at least every other day. Give it a go.
25 x sit ups ( 3 times)
25 x push ups ( 3 times)
4 - 5 km run
Then 3kg dumb bell weights with the following reps, 5 sets of each and a 30 second plank at the end of each set
30 x curls
30 x side out lifts
30 x punches
Should get you sweating. Don't forget to stretch before and after for at least 5 mins.

Well second week Into lockdown,and it's true I am missing my second family my students,missing the training and teaching you all,the class and all you privates hope your all keeping safe and doing what you can from home,all of you that are still working stay safe,and a massive thank you to all our NHS workers ๐Ÿ™our key workers ๐Ÿ™cant wait to get back at it miss you all.stay safe ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Hope you're all keeping well and active. Try not to lapse on a bit of training even at home. I've just done a 3 sets of 25 sit ups, 3 sets of 20 push ups, a bit of kitchen shadow boxing and just heading out for a couple of miles run. Try it yourself a couple or 3 times a week if your bored, it'll help when we do eventually get back to normal.
