Round-up from the weekend's action ⬇
🏏 It was a disappointing end to the YPLN Championship East campaign for the 1st XI, who lost out by four runs at Sutton-on-Hull. Three wickets apiece from Ryan Hargreaves and David Snowball and two each for Kieran Rutter and Dan Outhart helped us dismiss the hosts for 146. Despite being well placed on 90-0 as Dan Artley made 57 and Ben Squires 27, we were all out agonisingly short on 142.
🏏 The 2nds were comfortably beaten at home by Wykeham 2nds in Beckett Division 3. Skipper Gaz Ellwood's 57 and 39 from Tom Bussey were the standout knocks as we finished up on 181-9. Wykeham then cruised to their target three down. The 2nds wrap their season up at home to Grosmont on Saturday.
🏏 Our Development XI wrapped up their York Vale Division 2 campaign with a 17-run win at Hemingbrough, thanks to a stunning century from Matt Porter. Porter hit 21 fours and a six in his 116-ball 115 not out as we posted 193-5, Andy Toal supporting with 27. Tyson Jones' 3-18 and a wicket apiece for Kieran Rutter, OIlie Lawson, Abeer Datt and Theo Porter then helped restrict the hosts to 176.
