This is the One!!!

We are ecstatic to welcome the Dad's and Lads Community to to celebrate our very first Annual Blitz.

We are delighted to announce our Charity partner for this year is Su***de Down to Zero.
All entry fees will be donated to this valuable organisation helping to raise awareness of Su***de and Mental Health Wellbeing in our communities.

Now, Run don't Walk as it is first come first served at this Blitz and we can welcome the first 8 teams to come and compete.

Please reach out to us on either Facebook or Instagram if you'd like to enter a team.

A great day is planned and we will close it with a bite to eat, a cold drink and a presentation to celebrate the day at the wonderful

For the weekend that’s in it – my mama told me there’d be days like this.

The Saul Lads and Dads, in our debut season no less, took to the pitch today and served up a wholehearted display of courage, cracking teamwork and some genuinely lovely football. And would you believe it… we even came away with a trophy for the trouble.

The lads were popping points over for fun, while the defence stood as solid as a stone wall, backing it all up with serious graft.

A big day in our short history and one we’ll remember (and learn from) for a long time. We’re incredibly proud of the effort and couldn’t ask for a better bunch of teammates to share the field with.

The Down GAA community was in flying form today, raising much-needed funds for a fantastic cause and bringing great spirit to the day.

Our doors are always open to new teammates, so if you’re thinking about joining, give us a shout — you’ll be welcomed with open arms. Just one small thing… new lads buy the first round. Rules are rules.

For now we'll enjoy a pint or two, pop a few anti-inflammatories and be back on the pitch training next week 🤪.

Saul Lads & Dads back on the grass and back under the lights ⚽✨

Savage turnout last night as the season starts to gather pace… well, at least something is gathering pace anyway 😜

The craic every week is reason enough to drag ourselves out the door, but in fairness you can actually see the football improving too. A few tidy passes, the odd decent score and lads remembering how much they used to enjoy playing...Progress.

Will you be watching us on The Sunday Game?
No.

Will we be winning competitions?
Probably Not.

But are we:
• feeling part of a team
• getting a tiny bit fitter
• kicking ball again like we’re 12
• and having a proper laugh doing it?

Hell Yeah!!! 🙌

If you fancy a run around, a few kicks, and plenty of craic then give us a shout.

Move over Hollywood… there’s a new blockbuster in town and it’s called Meet the Forkers 😂 🍴

After some biblical levels of rain, our pitch was looking less like a football surface and more like a swimming pool. But fear not, enter the heroic band of armed with garden forks, wellies, and a questionable sense of humour.

It’s a brilliant example of our Dads and Lads putting in the graft behind the scenes so everyone can enjoy football when the season kicks off. No fuss – just proper club spirit

So next time you’re enjoying a match on this beautiful pitch, remember the Forkers who made it happen.

A great bunch of Forkers.
