Bad day at the office for Sauchie Amateurs when they faced FC Hamilton.last Sunday.
Game started off pretty well with Sauchie putting on some pressure and forcing some superb saves from the Hamilton keeper.
Sauchie eventually took the lead thanks to a Jack Carson header from a corner.
FC Hamilton equalised in the 2nd half before Aaron Hunter saw a red card.
After that Sauchie were under pressure and FC Hamilton scored 3 more unanswered goals, even though they were reduced to 10 after a horrific challenge on Robert Goodwin.

Carstairs Thistle AFC 1 v 5 Sauchie Amateurs FC

Sauchie started off well for the first 10 minutes and wasted a few chances only to be punished when Carstairs took the lead. Sauchie kept working away and were deservedly level through a Ross Kempski goal. Chances came and went for Sauchie in the first half through some poor finishing and poor decision making and the score remained 1-1 at half time.
Sauchie took more control of the game in the second half and took the lead when Brandon Coulter hit the back off the net. Sauchie soon went 1-3 up through a second goal for Ross Kempski. Sauchie should have extended their lead, but the keeper pulled of a good save to deny Ross Kempski his third and pulled of another good save from the follow up shot. Sauchie did eventually get a fourth through Cailin Calder and the game was rapped up when Ross Kempski got his third. Sauchie kept on creating chances and could have had a couple more goals. Happy with the 3 points and the 2nd half performance.

Hard game on Sunday for our third competitive match in 4 years.
Played a well organised and very decent Tilly AFC. We started out ok for the first 10-15 minutes, then Tilly took a foothold in the game and took a deserved lead through a mistake from our keeper in trying to hold onto a free kick. Tilly went 2 up before the break. Tilly kept their foot on the gas and scored another 2 before Cody Dawson pulled one back for Sauchie Amateurs FC. Sauchie were awarded a penalty which Aaron Hunter tucked away, only for Tilly to restore their 3 goal advantage. Just before full time Sauchie pulled another goal back from the spot to make the full time score:
Sauchie Amateurs FC 3 v 5 Tilly AFC

Today was our Sunday Amateurs first home game of the season against a Holytown side who had also won their first game of the season last week.
Started of slow and went 1-0 down to a soft penalty. We never learned our lesson and conceded another soft penalty which was scored to put us 2-0 down. We got back into the game through a Mark MacAulay strike before Brandon Coulter scored to make it 2-2. Sauchie eventually took the lead through a Robert Goodwin strike making it 3-2. Before the break it was 4-2 after Mark MacAulay slotted away a penalty.

H/T Sauchie Amateurs 4 v 2 Holytown.

After the break Sauchie scored again as Mark MacAulay completed his hat-trick with a thunderous strike. Yet again we let Holytown pull one back through yet another soft penalty. The scoring wasn't done there as Robert Goodwin restored the 3 goal advantage only for Brandon Coulter to score a peach of a curler that went in off the far post.
