Happy International Makaton Day! 🌟👋

Our little ones have been busy learning how to sign "Good Morning" and practicing some of their favorite fruit signs today including apple 🍎 and orange 🍊!

Makaton is an amazing way to support communication, build confidence, and ensure every child has a voice. We are so proud of how quickly they are picking up new signs and sharing them with each other! ✨

Rainy days equal puddle-jumping perfection! 🌧️

The discoverers had a great time splashing through every giant puddle they could find.

Yesterday, we went for a walk to the library. It was the library’s 10th birthday! 🎉

We participated in wiggly readers 📚birthday celebrations.

We read a few different stories about birthday🎈celebrations.

We played party games of pass the parcel, musical statues🎶and musical bumps.

At the end we had a dance and were given party bags. Massive thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate!

Party Prep 🎈
Our preschoolers took complete charge of their celebration, taking on the big task of blowing up balloons. Using hand pumps took real coordination and effort. They worked their strong muscles, pumping away with great determination until every balloon was full and bright.

Hair-Raising Science 🔍
The fun didn't stop once the balloons were inflated. We turned our party prep into a hands-on physics experiment by rubbing the balloons on our hair to create static electricity. Squeals of laughter filled the room as hair stood straight up, defying gravity and sticking right to the balloons!

Our Preschool children had an exciting visit yesterday from a street sweeper van!

The driver stopped to say hello and showed the children all the rubbish collected in the back. It was a fantastic hands-on moment that sparked great conversations about keeping our environment clean, recycling, and the important jobs people do in our community.

A big thank you to our friendly street cleaner for making our morning so special!

Today’s snack time came with a side of independence!

The children took charge carefully chopping up their strawberries and mango and building their own colorful fruit kebabs. The children loved this activity and did lots of chatting throughout.

🦁 Happy World Lion Day! 🦁

This is what we have been doing today to celebrate!

🌸 Nature Mane Lions
We went on a walk to collect bright yellow, orange, and red flowers, then thread them through the cardboard lion face to make the prettiest mane!

✨ Flour Shadows
We laid out toy lions on the black card then sifted flour over the top to create a really cool lion shadow on the card.

🎀 Glueing & Sticking Fun
For this activity we got out some orange and yellow pieces of issue paper, cellophane and ribbon then stuck them to a paper plate to make our roarsome masterpieces.
