🏏 Hawarden Park U9s Report 🏏
📅 7th June 2026
🌤️ Despite slightly overcast conditions and a light breeze, the temperature was perfect for cricket and all teams arrived ready for a fantastic morning of action. With four pitches running simultaneously, there was a brilliant atmosphere throughout the event.
Hawarden Park faced Brymbo, Pontblyddyn and Buckley, producing some excellent performances with both bat and ball 🌟
🎯 Bowling – disciplined and accurate throughout, keeping the pressure on and limiting scoring opportunities for the opposition.
🧤 Fielding – energetic and committed, with great catches, strong teamwork and excellent support for one another 💪
🏃 Batting – positive and confident all day, with aggressive running between the wickets, smart communication and excellent awareness to pick up valuable extra runs. The team capitalised on loose deliveries and kept the scoreboard ticking over throughout the morning 📈
💥 There were some fantastic batting displays, featuring powerful shots, well-timed boundaries and confident stroke play. The players found the gaps brilliantly and continued to score despite the challenging breeze at times.

Overall, Hawarden Park demonstrated excellent teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day. Every player contributed, making it a successful and enjoyable event for everyone involved.
