A welcome pause before the final six.
Unlike the traditional halfway-house refreshment stop found on many golf courses, The Hut at Royal St George’s arrives later in the round by the 12th green, offering players a well-earned break before they begin the journey back towards the clubhouse.
It's a place to stop for a bite to eat, enjoy a ginger beer - perhaps with a little something added - and reflect on the golf already played. Bunkers found, putts missed and opportunities taken are discussed before attention turns to the challenge that remains.
