Pre season is well underway 🌪️

The boys hit a good sprint session under josh.stayready followed by a meal at the thecodfatheriow in Shanklin 🐟🍟

Pre season continues this week with a forwards and backs split session on Tuesday followed by registration with food on Thursday 🌪️

Everyone at Sandown & Shanklin RFC is saddened to hear of the passing of former Hurricane Andy “Dinger” Bell.

Dinger played for the club throughout the 1970s, mainly in the 2nd XV and, unsurprisingly at 6’9”, in the second row. A true gentle giant, he was remembered for his huge presence, incredible boot, and for making the younger lads around him feel safe on the pitch.

Our thoughts are with Andy’s family, friends, former teammates, and all who knew him.

Andy’s funeral will be held at the crematorium at 12 noon on July 13th

Once a Hurricane, always a Hurricane. ❤️
