HISC Wingfoil Open Competition - Sat 30 April and Sun 1 May

Day 1 will feature a free Symposium of workshops and presentations.
Day 2 is a Wingfoil Race Event comprising of a round robin series of short course racing and final
Day 1 - Symposium Sessions
Saturday 30 April - 16:00 to 18:00 hrs
Amanda Van Santen RYA Chief Wingfoil Instructor talking about getting started in Wingfoiling and the RYA training schemes for Wingfoiling.
Tom Partington Naval Architect and Hydro dynamists talking about developments in foil technology.
Tim Hancock International Race Officer talking about Appendix WF to the Racing Rules of Sailing and what it means for competitors.
Tim will also give a ‘pre-briefing’ for Sunday's Race Event.
Sam Light International Wingfoil and KiteSurf professional talking about the development of Wingfoiling internationally.
The Main Bar will be open after the symposium and a two-course dinner will be available in the HISC restaurant from 19:00 to 20:30 hrs.
Day 2 - HISC Wingfoil Open Event
Sunday 1 May - 11:00 Start
It is intended to run a round robin series of short course racing with a final in Chichester Harbour, limited to 60 Wingfoil riders on a first entered basis.

Entry will be capped at 60 and will close on 23rd April.
Note: Competitors are expected to be competent to gybe on the foil.

Competitors under 18 years of age during the event shall submit signed Parent/Guardian Declarations before racing.
