Congratulations to the winners of our Freestanding Spring 600 Challenge!
You all came, you all shot, and some of you actually hit the target.

Here are the sharpshooters…
Rifle with Scope:
1st: James Onyshchak – He literally scoped out the competition and left everyone else in the dust.
2nd: Derek Barnes

Rifle with Diopter:
1st: Matthew Smyth – Iron-sight wizard. While others needed fancy optics, Matt just squinted harder and dominated.
2nd: Alistair Whyld.

Pistol:
1st: Jon Ward – Pistol king! Fast, accurate, and probably the reason the rest of us need more practice.
2nd: Adrian McCordick.

A massive well done to all our winners — and to everyone else who took part: don’t worry, there’s always next time to redeem your dignity (and maybe finally zero your rifle).

Finally after a long wait the club now has a very reliable and much more trustworthy chronograph.

Testing for this year started last Friday and will continue until everyone has their pistols and/or rifles tested. In addition, anyone that feels that something may be wrong with their pistol/rifle can request a quick test at anytime.

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FROM LESSAGC HQ 🚨
HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY TO US!
We’re officially four years old — that’s 48 months of trigger discipline, questionable zeroing, and arguing about pellets.
To celebrate not getting shut down (yet), we’re throwing a proper Birthday Bash & Buffet Blowout!
📅 Date: [Friday 24th April]
⏰ Range Open
🍔 Buffet Time: Around 6:00–6:30 PM — We’ll pause the pellets for a bit so you can actually eat without inhaling crisps through your scope.
What’s happening?
• Come shoot
• Stuff your face with a proper club buffet
• Take a tactical break from the range so nobody “accidentally” shoots a sausage roll
• Then head straight back out for round two
All members welcome — even the ones who still miss the 10 yard indoor target and blame the wind, the pellets, the moon phase, or “that dodgy backstop”.

Pro tip: If you turn up late to the buffet, the good stuff will be gone. You’ve been warned. We shoot straight… but we eat faster.

News Flash!
LESSAGC will be starting Junior Shooters Coaching Sessions

Each session with Sue Norman, professional rifle coach,
will be structured and over the weeks will cover all elements of rifle shooting including, stance, breathing, aiming and trigger control. (Yes even the bit where you hold your breath like you’re about to diffuse a bomb)
Over the coming weeks she’ll whip your technique into shape.

These sessions are open to any junior member of the club. Please note we have limited spaces. So don’t delay on this or you will be left watching on the sidelines like a sad potato.

It is proposed that coaching sessions will take place once a month and we will agree on actual dates at least one month in advance.

Next Friday, 20th March, LESSAGC at Moorlands proudly presents the return of Chip Butty Night.
We’re talking proper gourmet engineering: chips lovingly squashed between buttered bread (or a proper cob if you’re feeling fancy), optional lashings of curry sauce…
and hold onto your scopes – there may also be Kate’s specially prepared mushy peas on offer! Turning it into a full-blown British cultural event.
See you there – bring your appetite and your aim (optional).
Service kicks off around 18:30, giving you just enough time to miss a few more bullseyes before refuelling like the carb-loading legends you are.
