🎯 The 600 Challenge is here!
Our quarterly competition is back — and you’ve got 6 weeks to prove your aim (or at least pretend you meant to shoot that group).
Shooting window:
14th August – 18th September 2026
You’ll be shooting cards with 5 shots (or 10 for the pistol folk). Every card has a sneaky little sticker right in the centre on the back… so no “I shot the wrong side” excuses this time.
The Classes:
Class A – Benchrest
Ri**es with scopes / red dots
Five-spot cards • 1 shot per target
Gun supported • Seated or kneeling
(Basically the “I brought my bipod and a nice chair” class)
Class B – Scoped Standing
Ri**es with scopes / red dots
Five-spot cards • 1 shot per target
Gun unsupported • Standing only
(Where gravity and caffeine both become your enemies)
Class C – Iron Sights Standing
Ri**es with open or diopter sights
Five-spot cards • 1 shot per target
Gun unsupported • Standing only
(For those who like their challenges properly old-school)
Class D – Pistol Shooters
Large single-spot cards • 10 shots per card
Standing & unsupported • One or two hands allowed
(Because sometimes you just want to make bigger holes)
Get those cards shot, keep them safe, and remember — it’s not about perfection… it’s about having a good excuse when the scores go up.

10 Shots . Maximum 20 Points . Pure Chaos Guaranteed

Forget boring paper targets. This time your enemies are tiny wooden sticks that have the audacity to stand upright like they own the place.
• Break it clean → 2 POINTS (you’re a god)
• Clip it like a boss → 1 POINT (still respectable)
• Miss completely → 0 POINTS (the matchstick laughs at you)
Top score? 20 points.

Break every single matchstick and achieve glory no one will ever let you forget.

Warning: Side effects of the Matchstick Challenge may include:
• Mild to severe matchstick-related rage

Come for the points. Stay for the banter. Leave with either a perfect scorecard… or a new nemesis made of wood.

Kate’s Café once again delivered the goods with hotdogs and mushy peas at LESASAGC.
As our Chairman so aptly put it: “It was a proper panda challenge — eats, shoots, and leaves!”
We filled our faces like it was an Olympic sport, then staggered to the firing line and actually hit our targets. Our original plan hadn’t been to leave looking like a bunch of overfed pandas… but we gave it our best shot anyway.
Mission accomplished. 🐼🔫🌭

Congratulations to the winners of our Freestanding Spring 600 Challenge!
You all came, you all shot, and some of you actually hit the target.

Here are the sharpshooters…
R***e with Scope:
1st: James Onyshchak – He literally scoped out the competition and left everyone else in the dust.
2nd: Derek Barnes

R***e with Diopter:
1st: Matthew Smyth – Iron-sight wizard. While others needed fancy optics, Matt just squinted harder and dominated.
2nd: Alistair Whyld.

Pistol:
1st: Jon Ward – Pistol king! Fast, accurate, and probably the reason the rest of us need more practice.
2nd: Adrian McCordick.

A massive well done to all our winners — and to everyone else who took part: don’t worry, there’s always next time to redeem your dignity (and maybe finally zero your r***e).
