At Horseshoe Lake, your safety is our priority.

Swimming is not permitted at Horseshoe Lake outside of our designated Open Water Swim sessions.

If you have children looking to cool off during the hot weather, please make sure they are aware of this before travelling to the lake, as anyone attempting to swim outside of our organised sessions will be turned away.

If you and your child would like to take part in one of our Open Water Swim sessions, you will be welcomed by our fully trained team, who are on hand to provide support and guidance throughout your visit.

If you would like more information, please feel free to speak to a member of our friendly team.

We are passionate about promoting safe and enjoyable open water swimming at Horseshoe Lake. If it’s your first time, there’s no need to worry — our fully qualified staff are on the water throughout each session, making it the safest way to experience open water swimming.

💦 Powerboat Level 2 - Two Day Course 💦

This course is designed for those 16+

So, a summary of what's included: -
* RYA powerboat instructor
* Bespoke made training Whaly Boat 435, as well as all fuel used
* Buoyancy Aids
* Undercover learning area with hot drinks
* RYA "Start Power-boating" book with completion certificate

Previous Experience Required: None

Launching and recovery, boat handling, securing to a buoy, anchoring, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard.

After the course you will be a self-sufficient power boater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of the craft.

Home Educated Children’s Paddling Session – 23rd June

Pop down on 23rd June and enjoy an opportunity to paddle with other home-educated children at Horseshoe Lake, GU15 1SQ.

This session is a great chance for families to:

* Practice paddling skills
* Build confidence and safety awareness around water
* Meet other like-minded children and families
* Enjoy time outdoors on the water
