Strength training isn’t just about changing how you look, it also supports our bones and joints especially as we get older which can prevent Injuries and falls etc. It also plays a huge role in supporting independence. Being strong to carry out every day tasks like lifting a box or carrying bags of shopping. 💪😊

Hydration isn’t just about drinking more water

If you’re training hard, sweating a lot, or feeling tired/headachy after workouts, you may also need to replace electrolytes — especially sodium, potassium and magnesium.

A simple tip: add electrolytes during longer sessions, hot weather, or after intense cardio to help with performance, recovery and avoiding cramps 💧⚡

Electrolytes are minerals like sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium that are lost through sweat and help with hydration, muscle function and energy levels.

A simple homemade electrolyte drink can be:
💧 Water
🧂 A pinch of sea salt (sodium)
🍋 Fresh lemon or lime juice
🍯 A little honey for natural carbohydrates
🍌 Pair with foods like bananas, coconut water or leafy greens for extra potassium and magnesium

Perfect for long workouts, hot weather ☀️ or busy active days ⚡💪🏋️‍♀️

As well as working in my little gym I also offer home visits which for some clients allows comfort and convenience. This week I have seen clients at their homes in Sandhurst, Crowthorne, Wokingham, Yateley, Camberley and Blackwater.
