And that’s a wrap for this year’s 1st cut haylage, finishing off with a field of beautiful wrapped meadow mix hay.
Nice to see the fields harvested ready for the cycle to begin again. Yields were surprisingly good but as you can see the stubble is burnt up now and this heat doesn’t help matters, so will we get much 2nd cut or will it be another 2025?

First lot of new crop haylage onto the yard, turned out excellent despite the cooler weather over the weekend but amazing how some good 💨 helps. We were getting low on stock so at least we won’t run out now 😅
We just need the weather to stabilise next week so we can get on with the remaining 🤞☀️

All four courses from Saturday’s event will remain flagged for schooling, 70-100cm. Dressing will stay in place until next Monday.

British Riding Club Area 3 - NLG COMPETITION ACCESS

If you are coming to this Saturday's NLG 1-DE please follow the following directions.
You will find us on Brookhouse Lane, Brookhouse Green, Smallwood, Sandbach. However our postcode is not great as it will put you in the middle of Pitcher Lane with no option to turn around. The best way to get to us is to come via the A534 and turn onto Brookhouse Lane heading towards CW11 2XH (signposted Brookhouse Green and Smallwood). Follow Brookhouse Lane past the postcode destination, the competition entrance is another couple hundred yards or soon the right.
Use what 3 words ///teach.struck.perfumes to go straight to the cross country competition entrance.
DO NOT USE PITCHER LANE and BACK LANE they are unsuitable for access or leaving the site.

Cross Country Course walking from 2pm Friday, Dogs allowed on leads but strictly pick up any poo.
