Thank you to Congleton Town FC U11 Girls for making the journey over to Sandbach to join us at The Cross Bar this morning to watch the Lionesses beat Haiti before playing us in a pre-season friendly.

As always, it was a competitive match played in a great but fair spirit. Thankfully, for the spectators, the rain abated, and we all stayed dry.

This Saturday the lionesses take on Haiti in their opening World Cup fixture. To celebrate, Sandbach United will be holding a free taster session for girls aged 5-10 years old from 9am till 10am at Sandbach United Football Club. This session is open to girls who are interested in taking up football for the first time and girls that are already involved in the game.

After the session has finished, Sandbach United will be showing the lionesses opening World Cup fixture for you to cheer the team on. The bar will be open for refreshments while you all enjoy watching the game.
