We are delighted to see Saltford Tennis Club described as one of “Saltford’s Gems’ by Saltford Parish Council in their recent post about the visit of the new CEO of BANES council 🙌🏻
As a community tennis club, we are incredibly proud to play a small part in village life and would like to thank the Parish Council for their kind words and excellent work that they do to make Saltford the village that it is.
Our aim has always been to provide a welcoming, inclusive and friendly environment where everyone can enjoy tennis, regardless of age, experience or ability.
Whether you are picking up a racket for the first time, returning to the game after many years or want to play competitively there is a place for you at Saltford Lawn Tennis Club.
Our courts can be booked online and we provide award winning coaching for Children and Adults, including Walking Tennis and Inclusive Tennis for disabled and neurodivergent children aged 4 to 16 and children who may not have access to mainstream tennis provision.
We are fortunate to have fantastic members, volunteers, a top class coach and a strong committee that help make the club what it is.

SPC welcomed the opportunity to meet with the new(ish!) Chief Executive of B&NES Council in Saltford today, at a meeting set up by B&NES Ward Cllr Chris Warren. It was a great opportunity to share the strengths of our community, discuss what matters most to residents, and highlight key challenges facing our village.
B&NES Cllr Chris Warren, SPC Chair Cllr Jon Godfrey and SPC Planning Chair Cllr Phil Harding were delighted to showcase some of the real gems in Saltford’s crown - including Saltford Hall, Saltford Sports Club, Saltford Tennis Club, the beautiful Saltford Conservation Area, and the river at Mead Lane.
Cllr Warren also took the Chief Executive to South Saltford to see the Green Belt landscapes that play such an important role in preserving the village’s rural identity.
There were many positive conversations throughout the visit about what makes Saltford such a special place to live. Discussions included our fantastic sense of community - from the upcoming Saltford Festival to the events and 60 affiliated groups of the Saltford Community Association.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss some of the key issues affecting residents, including protecting our Green Belt and rural identity, the need for improved public transport provision (fairer fares and better reliability - not bus lanes!), and concerns about A4 congestion coupled with the increasing use of residential roads as ‘rat runs’.
We were very pleased to welcome the Chief Executive to Saltford and appreciated the opportunity to highlight both the strengths of our community and the challenges facing our village.
Thanks again to B&NES Ward Cllr Chris Warren for setting up this valuable meeting.
