Magnum figure skating club

Magnum figure skating club We welcome skaters from as young as 3 years old into our 'learn2skate' programme. We are a highly successful club from beginner up to elite skaters.

Founded in June 1976 and formally known as Magnum Ice Dance and FIgure Skating Club, was originally based at Magnum Leisure Centre in Irvine. Sadly the ice rink at closed in February 2011 and we moved to Auchenharvie Ice Rink in Stevenston. The club has been a very successful club throughout its 40 year history producing some world class skaters, who have represented GB internationally. One of our

coaches Suzanne Otterson skated for Magnum and represented GB at the winter Olympic games in 1992. We have an elite coaching team made up of many past skaters who have won British championships & international acclaim. Profiles of all our coaches can be viewed on our website. This year saw us change our name to 'Magnum Figure Skating Club' and produce a new logo. We continue to be a very successful club with a record number of skaters of 11 who qualified for the British FIgure Skating Championships this year and 2 skaters brought back medals. We welcome skaters from a young age to our newly revamped learn2skate programme that is proving very popular. We encourage our high level skaters to help the beginners and inspire them to be our champions of the future! We welcome your comments on our page and we ask that be polite, even if you disagree. Abusive language, aggression and bullying are not tolerated. Distressing content is also banned. We are a friendly club and encourage anyone to contact us either by email, phone or by writing on any matter.
