The Mariners Ice Hockey Club The Mariners Ice Hockey club were formed in 2007. We play our home games at The Auchenharvie leisure centre in Stevenston and The Galleon Ice rink.

🏆 The Mariners crowned 2026 Scottish Quaich Champions! ⚓️🏒

It was a flawless weekend on the ice for The Mariners, bringing home the Scottish Quaich after an undefeated six-game run.

The tournament began on Saturday with a dominant 5-1 win over the Dundee Pirates, followed by a gritty comeback against the Aberdeen Predators. Despite falling a goal behind early, the boys rallied to storm away with an 8-1 victory before capping the day with a clinical 4-0 shutout against the Caledonian Thunder.

Sunday saw the momentum continue as a 7-0 victory over the Aviemore Avalanche secured the top spot in the group.

The semi-final against the Paisley Buccaneers was a true highlight—a back-and-forth battle that saw the teams trade goals until the Mariners finally broke the 3-3 deadlock, firing in three unanswered goals to claim a 6-3 win.

The final brought a tense rematch with the Dundee Pirates. The Mariners set the pace from the start and never trailed, building a 4-2 lead. While the Pirates managed a late goal to keep things interesting, our defense held firm until the final buzzer to secure the 4-3 win and the trophy.

Massive thanks to our opponents for a great weekend, to the rink and game sheet staff and finally the friends and families who cheered us on all weekend! 🥇🍻
