North Ayrshire Table Tennis Club was formed in 2002 and is based at St Matthews Academy, Saltcoats. We have a classes running 5 days per week across North Ayrshire for all ages and abilities. North Ayrshire TT are the current Scottish champions and are regarded as one of the most proactive table tennis clubs in the country. NATTC have 150+ members ranging from 7 year old's who have just started the game to senior Scottish internationalists.

A great day at St Matthew’s today for Day 1 of our Level 1 Coaching Course, covering the course content and giving candidates the opportunity to develop their coaching knowledge and skills.

Well done to everyone for their engagement throughout the day, and good luck as they prepare for their practical sessions and assessments next month.

A big thank you to Iain Rhind for helping out and to North Ayrshire TTC for hosting the course.

North Ayrshire Open 2026 Entry Form🏓

Entries are now OPEN for the North Ayrshire Open which will take place on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th October. Senior events on the Saturday and Junior events on the Sunday. As always we welcome players of all standards and ages to enter and hope to get a great entry again with players from all over Scotland & the UK.

Sat: Mens & Womens Singles, Open Doubles, Over 55’s & Banded Events

Sun: U19 Boys, U19 Girls, U15 Boys, U15 Girls, U13 Boys, U13 Girls, U11 mixed, Beginners Banded and Open Doubles.

North Ayrshire Open 2026 is now confirmed and will be held on the October 3rd & 4th at St Matthew’s Academy, Saltcoats 🏓

Entry form will be out next week so get the date in the diary 🗓️

Saturday 3rd October : Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Open Doubles & Banded Events.

Sunday 4th October : U19, U15, U13 & U11 Boys & Girls Singles, Open Junior Doubles & Beginners Banded event.

Our fourth banded competition of the summer was on last night at the club. Great mix of players from junior newcomers to experienced seniors 🏓

Yesterday Tamara, Lucy & Billy represented NATTC at the KA Leisure Summer of Sport Funday 🏓

Over 150 juniors tried out table tennis and learnt the basics of the sport and we gave out flyers and info on what clubs they can play TT at in North Ayrshire.

Tamara & Lucy inspired a lot of girls to learn TT and take up the game 👏🏻. Next KA Leisure Sports Funday is at St Matthew’s this coming Friday 11am-2pm.

Busy one last night at our club, players training well during the summer off season ☀️🏓

We have our normal club nights on next two Mondays, the 20th & 27th July then our banded event on the 3rd August 🗓️

Good luck to Ryan Henry who is part of a 14 player British Para Table Tennis squad travelling to Thailand for the ITTF World Para Future Nakhon Ratchasima 2026 (July 13-16) 🏓 🇹🇭

Ryan made the move down to Sheffield a few years ago to train full time with the British Para squad will be aiming for some big wins and good performances in Thailand against the top players in Class 8.

Ryan who started at one of our satellite clubs in Dalry, has worked his way up from WoS Junior League to Senior league and has now played in TT in over 30 countries. An inspiration to all players and a great example of what you can achieve through hard work.

UKCC Level 1 course at St Matthews Academy, Saltcoats 🏓 📝

🗓️ Day 1 - 21st August. Day 2 - Sunday 20th September

Anyone aged 16 or over can start the course and is open to any player or volunteer who wants start their coaching journey. Get in touch with us or TTS if you require more info 📲

The Level 1 qualification will provide learners with the necessary skills to be able to plan and deliver basic table tennis coaching activities/sessions.

The 1st4sport Level 1 consists of 2 separate days spread over approximately an 4 week period.

Round up of the Senior Schools International for Padma Unnam & Tamara Martin 🏓🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This years SSI was held in Sport Wales National Centre with it being Padma 5th time & Tamara’s 3rd competing for Scotland in an international schools event. Showing consistency and improvement throughout the last few years for both players 👏🏻

Padma and Nichole Lee competed as Scotland A in U16 Girls and won bronze medal with wins over Ireland, Guernsey and Wales, only losing to the England A & B teams 🥉

Tamara and Olivia Maxwell competed as Scotland B in the U16 Girls with both girls playing well & competing against top opposition. They finished 6th after losing out in close matches v Ireland & Wales.

Jurie Duvenage was part of 3 man umpire team sent by TTS to assist with umpiring the matches from morning until night. A great weekend for all with the Scotland team coming away with a record medal haul 🙌🏻

Our club had 6 teams competing in the Ayrshire League this season. Two teams in Division 1, two teams in Division 2 & two teams in Division 3.

Good team effort with a mix of experienced players competing and players who haven’t played competitively before 🏓
