🎯 THURSDAY NIGHT RANKING SERIES – UNDER 65 AVG 🎯

If you weren’t there, we’ll set the scene…

1 room. 4 boards. 4 groups of 6. And far too many drink glasses to count.

But in other important news… Alan Oakley got his garlic, so he was happy! πŸ§„

After a cracking night of darts, here’s how it all went down…

GROUP STAGE WINNERS & RUNNERS-UP

Gaz Webber & Theo Briggs
Nathan Evans & Astyn Orbell
Harvey Troy & Carl Merryweather
Bobby Biggler & Steve Slater

QUARTER-FINALS

Gaz Webber 3–0 Carl Merryweather
Bobby Biggler 3–1 Astyn Orbell
Steve Slater 3–0 Nathan Evans
Theo Briggs 3–2 Harvey Troy

SEMI-FINALS

First up, it was a dad & son showdown as Gaz took on Bobby!

Gaz had been in top form throughout the group stages, even dropping a cheeky 180 along the way. But could Bobby be the one to end his run?

Gaz Webber 3–0 Bobby Biggler

Gaz marches on to the final! πŸ‘

The second semi-final saw Steve Slater v Theo Briggs.

Steve opened up by taking the first leg, but that seemed to light a fire under Theo!

In the second leg, Theo left Steve sitting on 218 while he calmly checked out 55. From there, Theo kept producing some quality darts, firing in a few 100s and 140s over the next couple of legs.

Theo Briggs 3–1 Steve Slater

And just like that, our final was set…

πŸ† THE FINAL πŸ†
Theo Briggs v Gaz Webber

And WHAT a final it was!

One of those games where the legs went back and forth and nobody could predict which way it was going to go.

Twice Gaz looked strong, leaving Theo sitting on the high numbers while he checked out and put himself in control.

But could Theo turn it around and make this one his final?

He certainly could!

πŸ₯‡ WINNER – THEO BRIGGS πŸ₯‡
πŸ₯ˆ RUNNER-UP – GAZ WEBBER πŸ₯ˆ

Massive congratulations to Theo on taking the win and well played Gaz on a brilliant run to the final!

A huge thank you and well done to everyone who took part and made it another cracking Thursday night of darts.

And now we move on…

πŸ‘€ SUNDAY NIGHT SEES THE RETURN OF THE VAULTS! πŸ‘€

🎯 SUNDAY NIGHT RANKING SERIES – UNDER 65 AVG 🎯

These nights need no introduction now… we all know the drill! Another cracking Sunday night of darts with plenty of good games, laughs and competition around the oche.

GROUP WINNERS & RUNNERS-UP

🎯 Bobby Biggler & Gaz Webberman
🎯 Mick Barclay & Max Sampson
🎯 Nathan Evans & Theo Briggs
🎯 Paul Calvert & Shaun Matthews

Unlucky to everyone who didn't make it out of the groups. We know, we know… it was too hot, the board wasn't right, your arm was hurting…

Jokes aside, well done to everyone who took part! πŸ‘

QUARTER-FINALS

Theo Briggs 3–1 Bobby Biggler
Theo ended Bobby's chances of another win with a solid 3–1 victory.

Paul Calvert 3–0 Max Sampson
Paul wasn't hanging around, sending Max home with a convincing 3–0 win.

Mick Barclay 3–1 Shaun Matthews
Mick knocked out our current table leader Shaun with an impressive 3–1 victory.

Gaz Webberman 3–0 Nathan Evans
Gaz said hello to the semi-finals after a dominant 3–0 win over Nathan.

SEMI-FINALS

Paul Calvert 3–0 Theo Briggs

Two great players, and going into this one it really could have been anyone's for the taking.

The opening two legs were close, but in the third Paul stepped it up with two 100s and a 140! Paul came away with the victory and booked his place in the final with a 3–0 win.

Mick Barclay 3–1 Gaz Webberman

What a great game from both lads!

Mick stormed into a 2–0 lead before Gaz fought back to take the third. Could Gaz find another leg and start the comeback, or was Mick heading into the final?

Mick made sure there'd be no comeback, taking the next leg to seal a 3–1 victory and his place in the final! πŸ‘

THE FINAL
Paul Calvert v Mick Barclay

This really was a final worth watching! You'd be forgiven for thinking it was tennis with how much the legs went back and forth! πŸŽΎπŸ˜‚

Mick took the first, Paul took the second, and they continued trading legs.

That was until legs five and six…

Mick had clearly decided TONIGHT WAS HIS NIGHT and he wasn't letting go of that win!

πŸ† WINNER – MICK BARCLAY
πŸ₯ˆ RUNNER-UP – PAUL CALVERT

Massive congratulations to Mick on taking the win and to Paul on a brilliant run to the final!

And once again, congratulations and thank you to everyone who came down and took part. Another fantastic night of darts!

🎯 GROUP WINNERS & RUNNERS-UP

Bobby Biggler & Mick Barclay
Max Sampson & Ben Hutchinson
Gaz Webber & Shaun Matthews
Alan Oakley & Paul Calvert

πŸ”₯ QUARTER-FINALS

Bobby sent Shaun home with a 3-1 victory.

Alan ended Ben’s dreams of a semi-final with an impressive 3-0 win.

Max and Paul went all the way, with Max eventually taking it 3-2.

And Mick put in a fantastic performance to beat Gaz 3-0.

🎯 SEMI-FINALS

Max vs Mick
Bobby vs Alan

Both semi-finals ended 3-0, but the scorelines don't tell the whole story two great games featuring four fantastic players!

Unlucky to Alan & Mick, who both had brilliant runs but just missed out on a place in the final.

πŸ† THE FINAL – MAX vs BOBBY

What can we say about these two?

Both are fantastic players and both had great runs to reach the final.

But last night, Bobby was throwing some AMAZING darts!

He was on a mission and ready to claim his SECOND Ranking Series final! πŸ†πŸ†

πŸ₯‡ WINNER – BOBBY BIGGLER
πŸ₯ˆ RUNNER-UP – MAX SAMPSON

Massive congratulations to Bobby, and well played Max! πŸ‘πŸ‘

A huge THANK YOU to all 24 players who came down and took part. These nights wouldn't be what they are without you!

🎯 SUNDAY NIGHT DARTS – UNDER 65 AVG 🎯
πŸ”₯ DOUBLE-IN EDITION! πŸ”₯

You know the score by now… πŸ‘€

🎯 4 boards
🎯 4 groups
🎯 24 players

All looking to add those all-important points to the board ahead of FINALS NIGHT!

This time there was an extra challenge β€” DOUBLE IN! 😬

The group stages saw plenty of frustrating misses on those opening doubles, but also some fantastic comebacks once the darts finally started flowing!

GROUP WINNERS & RUNNERS-UP

🎯 Carl Merryweather & Theo Briggs
🎯 Gary Cowell & Steve Slater
🎯 Dave Matthews & Max Sampson
🎯 Simon Laity & Shaun Matthews

QUARTER-FINALS

All but one of the quarter-finals went the full distance to a deciding leg!

Max Sampson 3–2 Carl Merryweather
Simon Laity 2–3 Steve Slater
Dave Matthews 3–2 Theo Briggs

Then came the final quarter-final…

Shaun wasn’t giving Gary even an inch to think the semis were within reach! A dominant performance saw Shaun take it 3–0 and book his place in the last four.

SEMI-FINALS

Max Sampson v Steve Slater

Steve opened the match by taking the first leg, but Max was determined that tonight was going to be his night to reach the final!

That thunderstorm must have put some extra zap into Max ⚑ because he came firing back to take the next THREE legs!

Max wins 3–1 and leaves Steve cursing that thunderstorm! 🌩️

Shaun Matthews v Dave Matthews

It was a full DAD v LAD SHOWDOWN! πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘¦

We’d already seen grandad and grandson battle it out in the quarters… now it was time for Dave to try and knock his own son out of the race for the final!

Shaun clearly wasn’t planning on letting that happen. He came flying out of the blocks and took the opening two legs.

Everyone thought that might be it… but Dave had other ideas!

Dad fought back to take the third, leaving everyone wondering…

Would it be Dad or Son taking on Max in the final?

In the end, Shaun showed Dad who was boss on this occasion πŸ˜‚ taking the match 3–1 and securing his place in the final!

THE FINAL

MAX SAMPSON v SHAUN MATTHEWS

Now, we don’t know if everyone has seen, but these two have a BIG MONEY MATCH SHOWDOWN coming up soon… πŸ’°

So was tonight a little warm-up?

Max opened the scoring by taking the first leg before Shaun fought straight back to take the second.

1–1… GAME ON!

But from there Shaun produced some incredible darts. Max struggled to find those doubles to get himself into the legs, and Shaun made sure he capitalised.

Shaun powered through the next three legs to take the match and the Sunday night crown! πŸ†πŸ”₯

πŸ₯‡ WINNER – Shaun Matthews πŸ₯‡
πŸ₯ˆ RUNNER-UP – Max Sampson πŸ₯ˆ

Massive well done to everyone who took part, especially with the added challenge of DOUBLE IN! πŸŽ―πŸ‘

Another brilliant night of darts, plenty of drama, deciding legs, family battles and some quality arrows!

πŸ”₯ QUARTER-FINALS

Shaun dominated Carl with an impressive 3-0 victory.

Alan sent Steve home early with a 3-1 win.

Gareth booked his place in the semis after beating Andrew 3-1.

And Bobby saw off Dave Matthews with another 3-1 victory.

SEMI-FINALS

Alan v Shaun
Bobby v Gareth

WOW! Both semi-finals went ALL THE WAY TO THE DECIDING LEG, and we were treated to two incredible games of darts!

Twice Bobby left Gareth still sitting in the 100s, while in the deciding leg of the other semi-final, Shaun left Alan back in the 200s! πŸ”₯🎯

That set us up for the final...

πŸ† THE FINAL πŸ†

Shaun Matthews v Bobby Webber

Both lads had enjoyed fantastic runs to the final, and we knew this was going to be one to watch.

Bobby came absolutely STORMING out of the gate! πŸ”₯

In the opening leg, he left Shaun sitting on 224 while he calmly checked out 40.

Shaun kept digging deep and battling to bring that number down, but Bobby was absolutely ON FIRE! 🎯πŸ”₯

What a performance. What a lad. And what a game he played!

πŸ† WINNER β€” BOBBY WEBBER
πŸ₯ˆ RUNNER-UP β€” SHAUN MATTHEWS πŸ₯ˆ

Massive congratulations to Bobby on taking the win, and well done to Shaun on a brilliant run to the final. πŸ‘

🎯 SUNDAY NIGHT UNDER-65 AVG RANKING EVENT 🎯

Sunday night started with a FULL HOUSE β€” 4 groups of 6 β€” and what strong groups they were!

Group Winners & Runners-Up
Mick Barclay & Theo Briggs
Alan Oakley & Shaun Matthews
Paul Calvert & Mason Liddle
Simon Laity & Steve Slater

That left us with our final 8, and boy, was it tough to call who would make it through to the semi-finals!

🎯 QUARTER-FINALS

Mick Barclay dominated his match against Mason Liddle, taking a convincing 3-0 victory.

Steve Slater took on Alan Oakley and booked his semi-final spot with a 3-1 win.

Paul Calvert went up against Theo Briggs and powered through with a 3-0 victory.

Then Shaun Matthews and Simon Laity went toe-to-toe β€” or should we say leg-to-leg in a fantastic game, with Shaun eventually taking it 3-2!

SEMI-FINALS

The first semi-final saw Shaun Matthews vs Paul Calvert, and what a battle it was! Neither player made it easy for the other, and it went all the way to the deciding leg. Shaun held his nerve and took the win 3-2.

The second semi-final saw Mick Barclay vs Steve Slater.

Mick took the opening leg before Steve fought back to level it up. Mick then dug deep and took the third leg with a beautiful 100 checkout!

Mick went on to secure his place in the final with a 3-1 victory.

πŸ† THE FINAL πŸ†
Mick Barclay vs Shaun Matthews

What a final these lads gave us!

Shaun opened the match by taking the first leg, before Mick came firing back and took the second, third AND fourth legs.

But you could never count Shaun out! πŸ’ͺ

Shaun produced a fantastic comeback, taking the fifth and sixth legs and sending us all the way to a deciding final leg!

And what a way to finish it...

πŸ”₯ A LOVELY 115 CHECKOUT TO WIN THE FINAL! πŸ”₯

πŸ† WINNER β€” SHAUN MATTHEWS πŸ†
πŸ₯ˆ RUNNER-UP β€” MICK BARCLAY πŸ₯ˆ

Massive congratulations to Shaun on the win and Mick on a fantastic run to the final. πŸ‘πŸŽ―

🎯 THURSDAY NIGHT RANKING SERIES 🎯
Anyone else really enjoying this Ranking Series? Because we know we are! Although we’re definitely NOT enjoying this heat… we’ve seen far too much of some of our players
We started the night strong with 4 full groups of 6, and every group was wide open for anyone to take!

GROUP WINNERS & RUNNERS-UP
🎯Gaz Webber
🎯 Kris Hall
🎯 Louis Winspear
🎯 Shaun Matthews
🎯 Leon Limon
🎯 Max Sampson
🎯 Bobby Webber
🎯 Nikki Bird

QUARTER-FINALS
Gaz continued his strong form, taking a convincing 3-0 victory over Max Sampson.
Shaun Matthews progressed to the semi-finals after a cracking battle with Bobby Webber, eventually taking it 3-2.
Louis ended Nikki’s chances of reaching the semis with a 3-0 win, while Kris Hall faced newcomer Leon and came through with a 3-1 victory.

SEMI-FINALS
Gaz’s winning streak continued as he booked his place in the final with another impressive 3-0 victory, this time over Shaun.
Kris Hall then secured his spot in the final after a last-leg battle against Louis!

THE FINAL
Gaz Webber v Kris Hall
What a back-and-forth final this was! Neither player was going down easily.
Gaz opened the game by taking the first leg, before Kris fought straight back to take the second β€” and that set the tone for the match, with the pair trading blows and neither wanting to give an inch!

But in the end, there could only be one winner...
πŸ₯‡ WINNER β€” GAZ WEBBER
πŸ₯ˆ RUNNER-UP β€” KRIS HALL

Congratulations to Gaz on taking the win and to Kris on a brilliant run to the final!
There’s still plenty of time to get yourself into the race in this Ranking Series, so get yourself down and get those points on the board!

THE QUARTER-FINALS

After some brilliant darts and some great wins, we saw:

Harrison Peacock
Max Sampson
Shaun Matthews
Marcus Earl
Simon laity
Harvey troy
Graham bird
Carl merryweather

all advance into the semi-finals!

πŸ”₯ SEMI-FINAL 1
Harrison Peacock v Max Sampson

What a game from these two! A proper back-and-forth battle, with the legs going right down to the wire and a last-leg decider needed to separate them!

Harrison held his nerve and booked his place in the final.

SEMI-FINAL 2
Shaun Matthews Marcus Earl

Well… what can we say about this one?!
Both lads kept each other on their toes with the scoring, and all three legs were closer than the 3–0 scoreline suggests.
But Shaun kept his cool when it mattered and secured his place in the final!

THE FINAL
Shaun Matthews v Harrison Peacock

Do we dare say… young vs old?! πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚

Shaun came flying out of the blocks and took the first leg.

But Harrison wasn't going anywhere! In the second, he fought straight back, leaving Shaun sitting on 196 while he calmly checked out 55 to level things at 1–1.

The third saw Shaun move back into the lead, but every time Shaun seemed to get ahead, it pulled something extra out of Harrison!

In the fourth, Harrison responded again, this time leaving Shaun all the way back on 239! πŸ”₯

What a game from both players and a brilliant final to watch.

But we all know there can only be ONE winner…

WEEK 2 WINNER – Shaun Matthews

πŸ₯ˆ RUNNER-UP – HARRISON PEACOCK

Massive congratulations to both lads and a huge WELL DONE to everyone who took part! πŸ‘

The Vault 18.0

We're back with the write-ups after a short break! 😊

Sunday night saw some fantastic darts and some incredibly high standard games throughout the competition.

Quarter Finals

🎯 Owen Wilkinson vs Carl Merryweather
🎯 Gareth Lewis vs Max Sampson
🎯 Paul Calvert vs Deon Robinson
🎯 Theo Briggs vs Dave Matthews

Four great matches and eight quality players, but only four could progress to the semi-finals.

Could Theo take down his grandad?
Could Deon knock Paul out early?

Semi Finals

Gareth Lewis secured his place in the final, beating Carl Merryweather 3-2 in a thrilling last-leg decider.

Theo Briggs booked his first-ever place in a Vault final, overcoming Paul Calvert in yet another last-leg showdown.

The Final

Theo Briggs vs Gareth Lewis

Theo's first appearance in a final – could he keep his cool against Gareth, who is no stranger to the big stage?

What a fantastic game from both lads. We love seeing the younger players keeping the older generation on their toes, and this final certainly delivered.

πŸ₯‡ Winner: Theo Briggs
πŸ₯ˆ Runner-Up: Gareth Lewis

A massive well done to Theo. I think we can all agree it's fantastic to see how far you've come. You're a real credit to the game, and this is thoroughly deserved.
