What a fantastic season it has been for the SUJ Reds!
This year has been one to remember, with the team showing incredible commitment, determination, and teamwork from start to finish. The highlight of the season was undoubtedly winning the cup – a tremendous achievement that every player and coach should be incredibly proud of.

This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and positive attitude shown by everyone involved throughout the season.

A huge congratulations to all of our players, coaches, sponsors and supporters who have contributed to making this such a successful year. Your effort, passion, and team spirit have been outstanding.

Well done to you all on an amazing season, and here's to even more success, development, and memories next season!

The Reds had an extra training session last night as they continue preparations for their League Cup Final this Saturday 🔴

They take on Tamerton Foliot Youth, with a 10:40am kick-off at Tavistock Langsford Park.

It would be great to see as many faces as possible to cheer the Reds on – all are welcome 🙏🏽

Saltash United Reds V Southgate Colts

Really proud of the lads today. We knew coming into this game it was going to be a tough test—Southgate hasn’t been beaten in the league all season, so we understood the level we needed to reach.

To the boys’ credit, they started exactly how we asked. We were on the front foot early and got ourselves ahead through Bertie, who finished well. That gave us confidence, and we kept pushing, with Leo adding a second to put us 2–0 up. At that point, we were playing some really good football.

Southgate responded like a strong side does and pulled a goal back before halftime, which changed the momentum a bit and meant we went into the break at 2–1.

The second half was all about character. The boys were under a lot of pressure for long spells, and we had to stay disciplined, organised, and work for each other. It wasn’t easy, but they showed real determination to keep going.

A huge mention has to go to our goalkeeper Roo. He was absolutely outstanding today—some incredible saves at crucial moments that kept us in the game. Performances like that win you matches, and he fully deserved all the recognition he got.

To come away with a win against a side that hasn’t lost a league game all season says a lot about the Reds. It gives us real belief and puts us in a strong position heading into the cup final next Saturday.

A tight and competitive friendly against Plymstock ended in a narrow 2–1 result last week ⚽️🔥

Both sides battled hard, with little to separate them throughout 💪
MOTM goes to Zac 🏆🛡️ for being an absolute menace in defence and frustrating the opposition all game.

Final League Game of 2025 vs Ivybridge ⚽️

The boys put in a solid first-half performance, keeping things tight and heading into the break at 0–0 🔒.

Not long into the second half, Alfie fired us into the lead with a great finish 🔥⚽️.
Unfortunately, an unlucky penalty brought Ivybridge level at 1–1 😣.

The lads pushed hard to take back control of the game, but it just wasn’t our day last week .
