A huge thank you to Coach for everything he’s done for Centaur HQ.

Not only has Mat been an incredible coach on the mats — pushing, supporting, and helping so many of our team grow — but he’s also done so much behind the scenes that people don’t always see. His time, effort, and dedication to the club have meant a huge amount to all of us.

While we’re sad to see this chapter come to an end at Centaur, this definitely isn’t goodbye. We’ll all be coming to visit, train, and support him on his next journey.

We wish Mat nothing but success with and can’t wait to see everything he builds there. Once part of the team, always part of the team 🖤🤙🏼

Last night’s Teen BJJ class was our biggest yet — 22 teens on the mats and the team keeps growing week by week.

Starting something new can feel intimidating, especially as a teenager, but stepping onto the mats builds confidence, resilience, discipline, and friendships that go far beyond training.

Whether they’re completely new to martial arts or looking for a positive challenge, our teen classes are designed to help young people grow both on and off the mats.

At the weekend, Coach Jamie Carr stepped onto the mats at the in Coventry and delivered an incredible performance against some seriously tough competition. Just missing out on the top spot, Jamie proudly brought home bronze 🥉

As one of the coaches at Centaur BJJ, Jamie leads by example every single day — through his work ethic, dedication, and the standard he sets on and off the mats. We’re incredibly proud to have him representing the team at such a high level.

Last night the Centaur gang came together to say farewell to Mikey as he heads back home to the United States.

Everyone at Centaur HQ is incredibly sad to see Mikey leave. Over the last three years, he has been not only an amazing teammate, but also a fantastic coach, helping so many people both on and off the mats. His energy, support, and dedication to the team will be hugely missed by us all.

Although it’s goodbye for now, Mikey will always be part of the Centaur family 🖤

A massive congratulations as well on receiving your brown belt from head coach — a well-deserved achievement and a true reflection of all the hard work and commitment you’ve put in over the years.

On Saturday the Centaur ladies headed to in Exeter for 2026 interclub — and what a day it was.

There’s something special about women’s jiu jitsu. The energy, the support, the grit… it hits different. Days like this remind us why we step on the mats in the first place.
