Saltaire junior parkrun

Saltaire junior parkrun junior parkrun is a series of 2k runs for children aged between 4 and 14. They are open to all, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.

Bring your barcode, and enjoy the parkrun. Sunday mornings at 9 am in Roberts Park, Saltaire. They are held in areas of open space around the country, They are open to all, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. If you are not a junior please come along to one of our weekly Saturday parkrun events instead.

What a fantastic morning in the park. We were joining in the celebrations this morning for the one millionth parkrun event.
We had balloons and there were stickers for runners at the finish and the sun was shining too. ☀️

Thank you as always to our wonderful team of volunteers.

We presented one half marathon wristband.
We had 13 first timers and 34 PB’s in a field of 126 runners.

😎 Event number 429 saw 1️⃣0️⃣8️⃣ fabulous junior parkrunners today 🏃🏽
👋 We said hello to 7️⃣ first timers to our Saltaire junior parkrun family 🤗
🏆 There were 2️⃣7️⃣ PBs recorded 🥳
🎖️we presented 3️⃣ wristbands this week for half and full marathons - please let us know by email or to the run director on the day if your child is due to receive one 🙏
AND keep your eyes out on parkrun socials over the summer, as NEW milestones are coming in September 😊

We seem to have lost our yellow funnel cones last week so if anyone has them or has seen them anywhere please do email us at [email protected]

Also, we were really struggling for volunteers this week and very nearly had to cancel. If you can help voluneteer whilst your child runs then please do email us at [email protected]. We really don't want to cancel unless it's not safe to go ahead.

🦺So a huge thank you to our 2️⃣2️⃣ amazing volunteers, especially the 7 new last minute volunteers we drafted in to help so we could go ahead. We really couldn’t do it without you all! 👏🏽

🌤️ The weather is looking much better for tomorrow morning than it has been today, so we're good to go! 🌤️

A huge thank you to all the volunteers 🤩 who are helping us out this week. We couldn't put on the event without each and every one of you, and your support is truly invaluable 😇.

It was touch-and-go for a while this week, so if anyone has a spare hour on a Sunday morning and would like to help, please email us at [email protected]. Our volunteers ensure we can safely deliver the event every week.
