Huge crowds at Salts Sports Association back in the day.

Have been sent this little snippet of history from a football historian -

Salts' FA Amateur Cup tie (last 16) v Hounslow in 53/54 season drew a crowd of 2,700, plus 300 watching from the canal bank.
The attd picture is from a couple of seasons later.
In modern society we can only dream of those crowds.
