Some children are bigger at 9.
Some are faster.
Some are stronger.
And because of that, it's easy to assume we know who the "best" players are.
But grassroots football is full of late developers.
The child who struggles today might thrive tomorrow.
The player who sits on the bench at 10 could be leading the team at 16.
That's why patience matters.
That's why development matters.
