🏆 Harry Dickins — South West Counties Amateur Champion! 🏆

A huge congratulations to High Post’s very own who won the South West Counties Golf Association Amateur Championship at the stunning but brutally tough Isle of Purbeck Golf Club.

Harry produced two brilliant rounds of 70 and 72 to finish +2, on what was clearly a ridiculously difficult day for scoring.

An incredible achievement! Well done, Harry — we’re all so proud of you! 👏⛳️

⛳️ Range Development Project Update ⛳️

Our new Short Game Area is continuing to develop beautifully and is really starting to take shape! 🌱☀️

The recent warm weather has helped the new turf establish well, and we're delighted with the progress being made as we move closer to opening this fantastic new facility.

Designed to provide a wide variety of pitching, chipping, bunker and putting practice opportunities, the Short Game Area will form a key part of our wider Practice Facility Development Project and will offer members and visitors an outstanding environment to improve their game.

There's still some growing-in time required before the facility is ready for play, but we're excited by how it's progressing and look forward to sharing further updates over the coming months.

🏌️‍♀️ Match Results 🏌🏻‍♂️

A fantastic weekend for High Post ladies, showcasing grit, teamwork and some brilliant golf. 💚⛳️

The Handicap Team kicked things off on Friday with a superb 5–0 knockout win over North Wilts.

On Saturday, the Scratch A Team battled through relentless rain to beat Ogbourne Downs 5–0.

And today, they were back at it again, securing a brilliant 4–1 league win against S&SW.

Lady Captain Clare Fanner said:

“Ladies’ golf is really on the up at High Post. I couldn’t be prouder of the ladies — their commitment, their performances and the way they support each other is exceptional.”

A fantastic weekend for the ladies’ section and a real credit to everyone involved. 👏

The Men’s Scratch Team did not fare quite so well, going down 3–1 at home to a strong Ogbourne side. However, a strong 7 up win for Gav Cooley and Dominic Tanner meant the bonus point was shared.

Well done to all players representing High Post this weekend ⛳️

This is a fantastic 36-hole test around High Post, played as Individual Strokeplay from the White Tees, with both Scratch and Handicap prizes available.

💚 Ladies’ Golf Thriving at High Post ⛳️

Our fabulous ladies hosted a brilliant ‘Newbies & Oldbies’ meet-up this week, bringing together new and existing lady members for a relaxed and sociable evening of golf.

Nine new lady members joined the group for a fun 6-hole Florida Scramble, followed by drinks, laughter and plenty of chatter in the clubhouse.

The evening was all about welcome, encouragement and making new members feel part of the Club — and the feedback says it all:

“Thank you for the great welcome last night, plus for the fun afternoon game. I have felt super welcome and look forward to seeing you all going forwards.”

“Thank you for a lovely welcoming evening. It’s nice to meet so many ladies who play golf. As a newbie I had no knowledge of how it all works, but I think I’m in good hands. Looking forward to improving and joining in.”

A fantastic atmosphere, a great welcome for our newer members, and another lovely reminder of the strength of the ladies’ section at High Post.
