Salford Wednesday Afternoon are a football team that compete in the Campus Leagues structure run through the Salford Student Union. Founded on October 21st 2015, Wednesday went on claim the wooden spoon in their debut season at both 11 and 7-a-side formats in their debut season at Intramural Sport League level. The acquisition of new signings in the summer of 2016 rejuvenated the side and in their

final match before the winter break Noon secured a historic first victory. This was all the sweeter, as it came against their bitter rivals Bramall FC.
