“My child would NEVER join in at something like this…” 👀💛

If that sounds like you… you are definitely not the only one!

Some children walk into their first Netball Kids session and jump straight in.

Others want to stand back and watch.

Some stay close to their grown up.

Some need a little encouragement before they feel ready.

And some spend the first session doing absolutely anything except netball 😂

And honestly? That’s OK. 💜

We don’t expect every child to walk through the door confident, independent and ready to join in straight away.

They can take their time.
They can watch.
They can have a wobble.
They can join in when they’re ready.

Our aim is to create a fun, friendly and welcoming environment where children can build confidence at their own pace. 🏐✨

It’s about more than netball 🏐💜

When I started Netball Kids in Monton & Urmston, I didn’t just want to create another weekend activity for children.

I wanted to create somewhere children could have fun, make friends, try something new and grow in confidence.

And after our first weekend of sessions, this is probably the thing I loved most. 🥹

Seeing children who were straight into it…

Children who were a little unsure at first…

Children who were trying something completely new…

And watching them gradually get involved, have fun and become part of the group. 💜

Because not every child walks into a new activity and immediately thinks “YES! I LOVE THIS!” 😂

Sometimes they need a little time.

Sometimes they need to watch first.

Sometimes they need a bit of encouragement from Mum or Dad.

And that’s completely okay.

There’s no pressure to be good at netball.
No pressure to be super confident.
No experience needed.

Just come along, have a go and see what they think. 🏐✨

Tomorrow it actually begins. 🥹🏐

After months of planning, organising, overthinking and probably talking about netball far too much… Netball Kids launches tomorrow!

And honestly, I’m so excited.

I wanted to create something that isn’t about being the best player, scoring the most goals or getting everything right.

It’s about running around, having fun, making friends, learning something new and hopefully leaving with a big smile on your face. 🥰

Tomorrow we welcome our very first little players in Urmston and on Sunday in Monton — and I genuinely can’t wait to see them out there.

There are still a small number of FREE TRIAL spaces available if you’ve been thinking about giving it a go.

🏐 PARENT QUESTION: “WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS IN A NETBALL KIDS SESSION?”

We thought we’d give you a little peek inside! 👀

We start with a fun warm-up game to get everyone moving and ready to play.

Then we get stuck into lots of different games and activities that help children develop all the things they need for netball — passing, catching, defending, creating space, moving, shooting, teamwork and so much more.

For our younger players, we keep everything really fun and age-appropriate, including relays, ball games and our much-loved parachute! 🪂

For our older players, we’ll start getting them used to playing a game of netball, introducing the rules in a really simple way before putting their new skills into practice.

And yes… the big kids get to play parachute too! 😂🪂

Because our sessions aren’t about standing in lines waiting for a turn.

They’re about moving, playing, learning and having FUN. 💕

Whether your child is completely new to netball or already loves throwing a ball around, our sessions give them the chance to build skills, confidence and a love for the game.
