First game of the season for the U8’s Tigers today. Really good effort by every single player. What we have worked on over summer and pre-season they used in the game today and we couldn’t have asked for more, they started the game fast and kept the energy throughout with some great passing and moving.

Coaches Player went to Carter and Parents Player went to the whole team because it really was a super team effort today.

With no pre season under our belts after winning the MYSL summer league & playing a team that beat us last year we didn’t know what today could look like but having brought in some excellent signings in the summer to add to the brilliant group we produced a dominant performance! Goals from everywhere. The game was played in great spirit and sets the tone hopefully for a really strong season.

A great start to the season for the Deans girls quickly showing why we are playing a year up. The intensity from the girls to press and not give the opposition any time on the ball quickly showed. When having the ball the girls showed great courage to maintain this by making many passes whilst moving through passages of play. A cracking goal from Ella rose BW in off the bar got the girls going. Hindsford continued to try and put us off track but our girls kept there cool and continued to create chances.

It was a nervy end as we conceded late on in the game to make it 1-1 but the girls got and determination shown as we strung some quality passes late on and a shot of the keeper into the hands of Ella rose G secured all 3 points for us.

An enjoyable to game to watch for everyone and a hard earned win for the lionesses

U15 AFC Bolton Grey vs U15 Deans Lionesesss 1-5

A fantastic start to the new season for our U15 Lionesses as we travelled away to AFC Bolton for our opening fixture — and what a way to kick things off, with a cup game!
The Lionesses came away with an impressive 5-1 victory, putting in a fantastic team performance from the very first whistle. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season.

The girls started brightly and played some excellent football, creating chances and putting AFC Bolton under pressure. Jasmine got us off the mark with the first goal of the season ⚽️, before our captain Atlanta stepped up with TWO goals to put the Lionesses firmly in control ⚽️⚽️.

Our fourth goal came from centre-back Emily ⚽️. The girls continued to play some fantastic football and showed great confidence, movement and teamwork throughout the first half.
Going into the second half, the girls continued to work hard and Frankie added a fifth goal to the tally with a well-deserved finish ⚽️👏🏻.

AFC Bolton managed to get a goal back, which was disappointing as we allowed the game to become a little slow and lost some of our intensity. However, the girls responded well and saw the game through to secure a brilliant 5-1 cup victory.

As coaches, we couldn’t be any happier with the performance today. It was fantastic to see the girls putting everything we’ve been working on in training into action and, more importantly, playing for each other as a team. 💜🧡

A huge congratulations to Libby, who was absolutely outstanding today! She had a stormer of a game and was fantastic from start to finish. A thoroughly deserved Player of the Match award. 👏🏻🏆

Deans vs Seedfield

First game of the season!! Our new U10 Lionesses set up their formation and was ready to go.

The game kicked off and seedfield put the pressure on immediately and took an early lead. seedfield showed there ability throughout and kept constant pressure and goals coming!!!

Our new goalkeeper Lilli, did some incredible saves throughout the game!! And also some very good distribution 👏👏

The defence of Ivy and Aurora showed some very good understanding of we’re to mark, how to tackle and how to clear the ball.

The midfield of Eleanor, Tilly, Abigail, Nia, Willow and Jasmine all individually worked hard against a very good team!!

The forward line of Emily, Roen and Portia worked Great!! Lots of hard work moving forward and backwards trying to get on the ball.

Special mention to Eleanor who was a little warrior in the midfield today working her socks off throughout and making some amazing tackles and runs!!

And to our goalkeeper Lilli for again some outstanding saves and trying to lead the team from the back.

To the wider Penny Family (Andrew, u15 Deans Tigers manager)

Andrew, we are all absolutely devastated to hear about the sudden loss of your younger brother James.

Football can wait, and your family and yourself must come first. We can’t begin to imagine what you and your family have been going through over the last few weeks.

From all the lads on the team, the parents/carers & everyone at the club, we send our deepest condolences to you, Nikki, Zak, Lois, and wider family.
Our thoughts are with you all, and we hope that in time you can find some comfort and strength from the people around you.
