🏆 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝟲𝘁𝗵 🏆

This weekend, Adele competed in the Adult British Gymnastics Championships for the second year running; and absolutely smashed it!

Not only did she climb the overall ranks to take 6th place, but she also stole the show with a 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 (swipe left)! 🥇✨

But this incredible achievement is only half the story...

Adele’s gymnastics talents are exceptional, but the journey hasn’t been easy. Over the years, she’s had to rebuild her strength and stability after multiple health conditions flared.

She refused to let that define her. Instead, she defied the odds to keep doing everything that brings her joy, with adaptions along the way...

🔑 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁? Balance and fun!

While strength training has been a massive piece of the puzzle to help Adele reclaim her power, she makes room for it all: gymnastics, ballroom dance, hiking with friends, and quality family time.

Adele, it is an absolute joy to watch you shine like the star you are. Live life strong. Live life happy. And revel in those wins!!

𝗔 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱: My dad turned 70! 🎈 We celebrated with steak, steps, and a caramel slice!

Milestones like this always get me thinking about life, choices, and how we show up for ourselves.

Sure, my dad could use a shoulder massage every now and then, but he’s active in a way that truly inspires me. He’s out tending his allotment, tinkering with furniture, and cooking & baking with serious flair.

🤍 It’s a beautiful pause point to ask yourself: 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘢𝘵 70?

I shared these two prompts with my clients last week, and I wanted to pass them on to you:

Anything can happen between now and our 70th birthdays. But we can choose to live in a way that makes us proud, fully & boldly.

Some snaps from today's jaunt up Pendle Hill with Abigail’s Trails.

I proved today that my Fen legs are not practiced on inclines (or the stair master, for that matter!), but we successfully scaled the summit on a windy Sunday morning.

It might be classified as a hill, just 50m short of being an official mountain, but it's pretty imposing all the same. Huge thank you to Abigail's Trails for navigating a great walk! 🥾

A compilation of the little things that have brought me joy this week:

🐦 Chatting with my mum on the phone about my nephew's adventures, while getting my steps in.

📖 A mid-week morning off, taking the opportunity to move a bit slower.

🥗 Trialling new salad recipes (and having leftovers for lunch and tea!)

☕️ Coffee stops, and then being thoroughly humbled by an intense treadmill intervals session - it's about balance, right?

🌸 Wild flowers, and their ability to blossom in less-than-optimal conditions...

🧘🏼‍♀️ Sharing my Yoga practice with the wonderful little community I’ve fostered for almost a year.

You don’t need a fancy backdrop to practice yoga; you just need to show up for yourself.

My hope is to guide you toward a state of non-judgement and compassion so that when you need your practice in daily life (on a delayed train, in a traffic jam, or during a confrontational meeting) you don't need a yoga mat.

A space is simply what you bring to it.

You can call on this practice anywhere to find steadiness and ease.

☠️ Deadly Dozen: 3 days to Go-time.

The build-up has looked a little different this time around... We traded volume for intensity, focusing our energy into weekly sprints, and it's paid off.

🏃‍♀️Today's lunchtime 5k felt strong, steady and capable.

The goal for Saturday? Enjoy the experience, embrace the competition, and step up to the plate with my favourite teammate.

We spend so much energy dreading that first workout back, worrying about lost progress.

We forget our bodies are resilient and have done it all before.

I was chatting with a friend recently about their return to the gym, and it was a perfect reminder that our minds play tricks on us, enhancing the anxiety and making the task feel much bigger than it actually is.

Just like a to-do list, the secret is to make a dent in it. It only gets longer (and harder to start) if you wait.

If you’re overthinking a 'first day back,' this is your sign to just show up.

Adaption is not failure.

𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮'𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿

Emma is an absolute hero and one of my dearest friends. She inspires me every day with her resilience and strength.

If you ever see us in the gym, you might think all we do is laugh, dance, and natter... but the space is her sanctuary and in just this year alone, Emma's weight loss is 28kg!

She's gone from training once, to twice, to three times a week, and bringing more and more activity into her life outside the gym too.

This year, Emma's goal was all about functional strength. We're jumping, running, lunging and so much more.

Yes, Emma is on a weight loss journey. But this is so much more than the numbers on the scale. It's about the life that she's creating and experiencing with herself and her loved ones.

Here's to 2026!
