Thank you to the team, supporters, and volunteers who have come away with Spartans this weekend and a big thank you to Caledonian Thebans RFC for hustling hard to continue the weekend.

Our 1XV team are on a winning streak! Can they keep it up this weekend 👀

Lovely home match against Heaton Moor RUFC last weekend alongside our friendly with Nottingham.

Coach’s player of the match was Will Curvis and players’ player of the match was the one and only RHYNO 🙌

Keep up the incredible work team 🖤🏉

Thank you Nottinghamshire Hurricanes for making the trip up to Manchester for a good game of rugby last weekend! We’ll travel down next time 🏉

Such a fun development game with some players playing for the first time, and others trying new positions on the pitch. Joe Kelly made his Spartans debut, as did Ricky Howard who was also voted back of the match for his efforts.

Leo Wood was our forward of the match and Chris Heaton was voted player of the match by the opposition, but he left before I could whip my camera out (next time 👀)

Whether you’re brand new to rugby or returning after a long time, if you want to be part of our development team drop us a DM - no experience needed

Everyone is welcome in the Spartans every day of the year, but we were still proud to be part of Stonewall Rainbow Laces Day 🌈

It aims to combat homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia in sports, raising awareness that LGBTQ+ people face discrimination or barriers to exercise at three times the rate of others.

LGBTQ+ people have a place in sport and if want to join our team drop us a DM!

3/3 wins for our 1XV team this season with our third game of the season being absolute BELTER as some might say.

Joe Herson made his debut playing for the first team 🥳

Andy Ryland was coach’s player of the match for being consistent, reliable, and adaptable playing three different high pressure positions.

Loads of tries scored across the pitch too and SEVEN conversions from Alex Quinlan

Bring on next weeks double header with our 1XV playing Heaton Moor and a 3XV friendly against Nottinghamshire Hurricanes
