A huge congratulations to our lifetime Spartan and IGR Touch founder, Ben, who was presented with the IGR Lifetime Achievement Award at last week’s inaugural IGR Touch festival! 🏆

This award recognizes Ben’s tireless dedication to growing inclusive touch rugby not just here in the UK, but on a global scale. From refereeing to coaching, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, his impact on the sport is unmatched and we couldn’t be prouder of him, and events like the IGR Touch festival would not be possible without him taking that first step.

Thank you, Ben, for everything you’ve done for the Spartans and the wider rugby community. This recognition couldn’t have gone to a more deserving leader! 🙌🏉

We are so excited to welcome the to Manchester this weekend and what better to celebrate our strong friendship than a full day of rugby!

Kicking things off at 9:30am with a welcome breakfast followed by a morning coaching carousel before an afternoon of matches - what more could you ask for?

That’s not all! Both teams will then celebrate the event with a night on Canal Street so if you’re around, make sure to come along and cheer us on during the matches at from 1:30pm! Or join us in town in the evening!

At the Manchester Village Spartans we love welcoming international teams and we cannot wait to grow our rugby family!
