WHY ARE YOU IN PAIN?
There is always an underlying reason for your back pain, and more and more people are realising that in order to be successful you must 'treat the person not the injury'
You see typically, many 'specialists' traditionally in the medical field would always look to treat a specific tissue or part of your spine. This method is flawed as it does not attempt to treat the person. By that I mean, find out why it happened then treat the cause.
The goal is look at the bigger picture. Assess how the individual moves and see if there are any issue with strength and stability.
You will bet there will be.
Once you have found this you must reverse-engineer the process in order to solve the root of the problem.
By doing this you will find that that person is more likely to overcome their injury a lot faster and most likely not experience it again as they have treated the underlying problem.
This is a much more effective and optimal method rather than 'looking at the MRI'. Knowing that someone has a disc bulge on their MRI does not necessarily tell me why there are in pain, nor does it inform me as to what the problem was in the first place.
Research has shown that it is very common to see 'abnormal findings' such as a disc bulge through traditional imaging (MRI) in people who are completely pain free. For example, one research study looked at the backs of pain free 20 year olds and found that 30% showed disc bulges on an MRI scan.
