I don’t often share what I’m up to outside of the gym on here but I wanted to post a little win for myself.. 🩰
I recently took my advanced 1 ballet exam which I worked pretty hard to do.
When I first started learning the syllabus for this exam I thought there’s no chance I’ll be able to do these exercises or learn them all, let alone do the exam! And I’ve then managed to pass the exam with a merit 😁

It just goes to show that hard work pays off and stepping out of your comfort zone may be challenging but the sense of achievement when you push yourself is amazing!
Whether you aim to take a part in a race, try a new movement in the gym or a new sport, here’s your encouragement to just take the plunge, work through the hard parts and you’ll get there!🥰

This week is mental health awareness week so I thought I’d shed some light on the importance of movement and physical fitness on your mental health…

I’ve had numerous chats with clients over the last few weeks, without even being prompted by this topic, about how much better they feel after a session, how their mood and energy levels have improved day to day and their general wellbeing has improved massively!

Not only can I see this in my clients from the change in mood at the start to the end of a session, but I also feel this myself hugely.
It’s a massive factor of why I got into the gym in the first place, why I continue to train and why I love to teach others how to do the same 💓

There is nothing better than training on the days when you need it most and the lift of weight off your shoulders and spring in your step as you leave the gym!

When a client leaves a session with a smile on their face and a ‘thank you I needed that’ I know I’ve done something right ❤️ (even if during the session they’re cursing me🤣)

Of course exercise alone isn’t going to fix all your problems and if you’re seriously struggling please do seek professional help 🥰 but if you’re not already just try to get out and get moving your body, it doesn’t have to be the gym, it could be a walk or playing a sport, whatever it is you enjoy & I promise you you’ll feel better afterwards ❤️

Push day - always my fave workout 😍💪

This is an idea of what a go to push session looks like for me and it’s a winner 🙌

Kept it real and raw today without all the editing, here we go… 😅

Bench 5 x 5
Tricep dips 4 x 8-10 or max reps
Shoulder press 4 x 8-10
Pec dec 4 x 10-12
Superset front raises & around worlds 3 x 10-12 each
Superset rope tricep pushdown & single arm tricep pushdown 3 x 8-10 each
