Once again, this was a brilliant day for all the 21 teams playing in our Ladies Open on 3rd June.
Although we were concerned about the weather, in the end the sun came out. As always all compliments went to the Halfway House team of volunteers, firstly for baking wonderful cakes and then serving 63 ladies with Pimms, tea, coffee and cakes. A big thank you to all cake makers and Fiona, Maggie and Cath for serving all the players.
The winners of the day were:
1st - Jenny Page and friends with a total of 80 points
2nd - Louise Grand’s team from Hale GC scored 77
3rd went to Jaqueline Richard’s team from Ringway GC with 76 points and lastly
4th prize went to Claire Eyre's team from Bramall GC with a score of 75 points as well as Fiona Kensal in her team winning nearest to the pin on 11th.
Helen Philips from Bramhall won nearest to the pin at hole 17.
£407 was collected for the LC's charity, MIND, from the raffle and tips at the Halfway House, thanks to all who dropped off a bottle or chocolate off. A special thanks also goes to the volunteers (24 in total).
