Do Macros Even Matter For Weight Loss?

This could be the biggest reason that most people get confused about Macros…

And here’s what to do instead.

Hey guys, Simon here and I wanted to share a short thought about Macros and weight loss that may surprise you...

I’d bet you heard of people talking about counting their Macros and losing the pounds and inches ?

And how when they can fit the foods they love eating into their Macros and still drop the pounds and inches...

And that sounds great…

But...

Counting Macros can also make things more confusing too because now we have to think about…

How should we calculate our macros?

Should my carbs or fat be higher?

How much protein do I need to be eating?

How do we know when to lower them to break a plateau?

It feels overwhelming just trying to figure it out, and we haven’t even tried to fully count them yet…

This is how a lot of my nutrition clients feel about Macros when we very first chat about them….

In reality nutrition and weight loss is confusing enough without Macros, right?

I don’t know about you…

But my clients see the best weight loss success when we make their nutrition simpler…

Not more confusing...

And most people think the success they get from counting macros has to do with the Macros…

But the truth is counting Macros is just a system for controlling the amount of calories we eat each day…

And I use multiple different simple nutrition systems with my clients based on their lifestyle and what they feel comfortable doing...

So they can eat their favorite foods and still lose the pounds and inches.

Weight not dropping fast enough ?

Not losing that stubborn body fat quick enough?

In weight loss people are told to be patient, but here’s the real key to fat loss…

Hey, Simon here and I have a three minute story about a lady named Nicky who found the key to hitting her weight loss goal in something outside of nutrition…

She didn’t have a strict diet to follow…

There was no secret juice, shake or magic pill...

Nicky didn’t do a single minute on a cardio machine.

And she certainly didn’t sacrifice her social life...

In fact she’s had more time out with her friends & family than normal…

But still hit her big weight loss goal....

Now every week wasn’t perfect either…

Nicky had weeks where her home & work life got the better of her.

She’d have to cancel sessions when last minute work meetings popped up...

Have a few too many wines over the weekend...

Or eat too much chocolate in the evening.

Nicky’s secret weapon wasn’t patience.

It was...

CONSISTENCY.

So many people think when it comes to their weight loss struggles, patience & sticking to a strict diet 24/7 is their biggest struggle.

But in reality their struggle is with consistency…

Consistency means keeping your head down and doing the work when things take longer than expected.

While patience implies waiting for thing to improve on their own...

Nicky never waited around for things to improve, even on the weeks with slip ups, she got straight back to the plan.

She didn’t let small mistakes take focus away from her big goal, and she kept putting in the effort.

Helping Nicky get the body she wanted was amazing…


What was most impressive though wasn’t the weight loss, but her ability to put in the effort...

Choking On Weight Loss Progress?

What if trying to go slower with your habit changes actually got you better results…

In less time, that lasted longer?

Hey guys, Simon here! And I can’t stay for long as I’m about to jump on some weekly check-ins with my awesome clients…

Would you think I’m crazy if I explained why slow and steady gets you further faster ?

Here’s what I mean…

When we go fast and do things we think will get us quicker results...

Things like...

Cutting out carbs...

Quitting drinking...

Depriving yourself of anything containing sugar...

Going from zero activity to running every single day...

You absolutely will see the number on the scales drop…

But, eventually that gravy train is going to come to a grinding halt…

Because no one wants to live like a tibetan monk just to see the scales drop a pound or 2, right?

Me neither…

Everyone thinks to make progress you have to change everything at once..

But in reality when you take on manageable changes...

You see consistent signs of progress that keep you going!

When you bite off more than you can chew...

You end up choking on your own progress.

We all lose motivation and end up off track…

Maybe even starting over all together…

But what if instead...

You made slower, but more sustainable progress…

That kept you motivated and constantly feeling proud.

I don’t know if you’re anything like the busy, working Mums I coach?

But they love making progress week after week.
