We arrive, we chat through what you want to achieve with no judgement, ever, and then we get stuck in with you - sorting, deciding, organising, and crawling under beds if we need to.

A typical visit will include practical chat, laughter and lots of problem solving!

It's hard work, but it's honestly the best job - watching a space and a person completely transform in a few hours never stops feeling good.

Decluttering looks lovely on Instagram - the neat baskets, the labelled boxes, the big reveal. What you don't see is the bit where someone's cross-legged on a floor for two hours deciding the fate of piles of random clothes. And yes, this image is from one of our very own sessions!

In fact, some of us are known to carry knee pads around in our work bag!

I started The Clutter Fairy because I kept seeing the same thing in people's homes. Not laziness, not a lack of trying, just life moving faster than anyone had time to organise it.

I wanted to build something that helped without judgement, because clutter is almost never really about the stuff. It's about time, energy and sometimes emotions that have got tangled up with what's in the house.

Sixteen years later, that's still exactly what we do, just with a brilliant team behind me now instead of it just being me.

This was me back in the day looking much younger and definitely way more flexible.

We all have one. The rail so bunched up that getting one thing out means wrestling ten others out of the way first, and half the time you still can't reach it.

Yes, it is about having too many clothes. But it's really about all the decisions behind them, the "I might fit into this again", the "it was expensive", the "I can't quite let this go yet". Once we work through those, the stuff itself is easy to sort.

We help people work through this kind of thing all the time, sorting what's actually being worn from what's just being stored.
