Well done to our Luke 🙂

Very well done to one of our junior county rising stars, Luke Giblin, who won not one but two medals in this weekend's Sankey Academy U13 Bronze tournament (starred tournament) down in Milton Keynes.

Although prefering mixed doubles (where he won a bronze medal) his singles performance in the U13 saw him achieve a silver after battling through two games which he won to setting - 24,22 and 23,21!

Playing since the age of 5, Luke has received coaching from both Jash at Set Sale and Paul Stewart, but mainly from his dad who is, quite simply, his badminton hero.

I'm sure we wish Luke and all the other young U15 squad players every success in their tournaments up and down the country (especially when they come from - Manchester's in Lancashire!)

A lovely end to our season; this year saw Set Sale take first place in both Greater Manchester Divisions, we also started to win medals on the junior Badminton England circuit; with our first gold from Luke Gibbon.
Finally, a great end of season club tournament really showcasing the improvement of our players that work so hard, I’m especially proud of our ladies - the club has worked hard equally promote badminton across Trafford. ❤️👍 well done players and parents.
