Every year the Club must conduct a health check to satisfy its obligations to the FA. Our Club is affiliated with the Cornwall FA this gives us support and advice, plus covers Insurance and relevant documentation. In summary it gives us a level to work to that benefits all involved with the Club. St Stephen Youth FC currently have 6 teams ranging in age from U7’s to U15’s. Annual General Meeting
Each year we hold our Annual General Meeting which is usually held in June. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend, and all contributions are well received. At the meeting the committee stands down and re-elections take place. All future events are discussed and new ideas welcomed for fund raising etc. We are always looking for parents to get involved and it is so important if we are to continue to grow the club going forward. Training
All players are expected to attend weekly training sessions. The sessions normally last between 1 and 1 ½ hours. During the Autumn, Spring and Summer months training is normally outdoors, but in the Winter we train on the 4g pitch or the Sports Hall for the younger players. A charge will be made to unregistered players who do not wish to play in the league, but just participate in the training sessions. Matches
St Stephen Youth FC play in the Cornwall Youth League. During the months following the end of the season, teams will have the chance to participate in tournaments and friendlies arranged by the team’s coaches. Our home ground is at Brannel School, St Stephen. Football Kits
Players are required to wear team football strips. The football kit will include shirt, shorts and socks. The design of the football kit is the Club’s choice. Shin pads and football boots must be supplied by parents and are not the responsibility of the Club. Shin pads must be worn by all players in training and during match play. All kits remain the property of St Stephen Youth FC and are to be handed back if you choose to leave the club. Sponsorship
Any form of sponsorship is greatly appreciated by our teams. Often sponsorships come from companies where the players’ parents are either employed or own. It is also a great way to advertise and shows support for young people in sport. If you would like to be a sponsor for the Club please contact us for details. Opportunities
The Club is always looking to encourage parents to be part of the Club. Parent helpers are vital to the success of the Club. Any parent wishing to become a coach/manager will be supported by the Clubs committee. FA Level 1 coaching is a minimum requirement and this is funded by the Club. You will require to be enhanced DBS checked, which again will be re-imbursed by the Club. Whatever time you can give will be valued greatly. Presentation Evening
Every year at the end of the football season annual presentation evening(s) are held. This is where parents and players can socialise and celebrate the team’s successes. All players are included and every child receives a training trophy for the hard work that they have put in during the season. There are also individual awards up for grabs such as Players Player, Managers Player, Most Improved etc. Fund Raising
The club is always keen to hear from people who have enthusiasm to drive fundraising projects, this does not have to be football based. Club Constitution
The Club has a constitution that is reviewed annually and goes into greater depth about the Club structure.
