We had a great first day of our homeschool sessions!

Today we looked at risk assessments and hazards we may find working on a yard, some great group discussions were had and mind maps created.

Looking forward to next week where the children will have a go at creating their own risk assessments for real life scenarios.

If your child is interested in joining our homeschool group, it runs on Wednesday mornings 9:30-12:30 including a ride, practical element and classroom based applied learning.

- equine first aid
- yard & field management
- enrichment
- saddlery
- nutrition

We would love to see you for the start of our term this Wednesday. We will be following a plan for the next six weeks that will cover all aspects of Yard safety and management as well as Horse care and first aid.
Will be doing hands-on training as well as employability skills to help those that are looking to do Equine in the future. This is available as a half day or a full day. Please get in touch for more information.

What a fabulous open afternoon! It was so lovely to see our regulars enjoying themselves but also so many new faces!
We hope you had a lovely time and had a little experience into pony riding. If you are keen for more then get yourself signed up on ECPRO and then available lessons will be made accessible. Hope to see you all again soon! Team Standing Stone.

We like to think we help to prepare our riders to experience what its like to own your own horse or pony. we specialise in building confidence on our own ponies but we also have lovely local client base who bring their own horses to train.

So excited to be sharing this. However, I’m apologising for the generic chat GTP poster. Hopefully it gives all the information though.

🩷 so we have our homeschool sessions back on a Wednesday. These sessions will be structured and lots of learning of the basics.
🌟Horse Care
🌟Handling
🌟Safety
🌟Feeding
🌟Grooming & Plaiting

🩷 For our more advanced riders, we want to look at lots of other aspects of horse riding, including;
🌟Prep for competition riding
🌟Horse training plans
🌟What it takes to run a yard.
This will feed into EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS as we will keep a skills log.

If this is something that you think your child would be interested in, please get in touch. We have half day sessions but can extend this to full day sessions.
We are also looking into getting a fully qualified tutor to extended curricular learning to include Maths and English prep for GCSE and/or FUNCTIONAL SKILLS if we have enough interest in this.
