Reopening Revolution Fitness 25th July:
USUAL OPENING HOURS:
Weekdays: 7am-10am (M/W/F) CLOSED FOR LUNCH 230pm-830pm (M-F).
Weekends: 10am - 2pm.
EXISTING MEMBERS: After consulting the government guidelines, I’ve decided that I’ll be functioning at 70% of the allowed capacity to begin with. All existing members are encouraged to remain training at their usual times and frequencies, there’s never been a capacity issue before - if your training times are subject to change, just let me know. Existing members will also have priority access during peak times and queue jumping will be permitted (if 1-in-1-out, however I don’t believe this’ll be an issue whatsoever).
PREVIOUS OR NEW MEMBERS: If you’re looking to rejoin or join the gym altogether, there are limited memberships available, which only payment will secure, I won’t be holding spaces for people who tell me they’re joining up ‘soon’ but never get round to it - £30PM via PayPal/direct debit ONLY. There will be no walk-in queries or cash payments. All memberships must be paid & active PRIOR to arrival and I’ll have the paperwork ready for you to complete BEFORE you train during the agreed time slot.
SINGLE SESSIONS: £7 per session via APPOINTMENT ONLY including payment via PayPal PRIOR to arrival. The likelihood here is that peak times will be unavailable to begin with but contact me for confirmation & if successful I’ll have the sufficient paperwork ready to go. NB: If you wish to come in at 7am, don’t message me at 6am, arrange the evening before.
GENERAL COVID SECURITY & PRACTICES: Hand sanitiser MUST on arrival. Masks are currently optional (I’ve a hunch this may change so suggest purchasing), bring your own if you wish to wear one. Disposable gloves, also optional provided. Anti-bacterial wipes are provided and must be used for all bars & dumbells after use (basically anything with an abrasive knurling/grip that will shred the blue roll). Blue roll and anti-bacterial spray is provided and must be used on all benches/mats/non-abrasive surfaces after use.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: No if’s or but’s 2m distancing at all times where possible and 1m+ where you absolutely HAVE TO, anything less and you’ll be told to leave; no exceptions. ALL stations are situated 2m apart, I’ll be suggesting that gym users employ the use of common sense here and operate an ‘every other station’ distance on machines & benches (there are plenty to go round!), which results in pretty extreme social distancing measures but you can’t ever be ‘too safe’...
DO’s: Train hard, smart more than anything if you’ve had a substantial time away from lifting.
Clean up after yourself, use the sanitary products provided and maintain a safe, healthy environment.
Good chance to get this one in...! PUT YOUR WEIGHTS BACK (after cleaning).
Don’t know about the rest of you but I’ve felt pretty insulted as to being last in line to reopen (behind the pubs more than any other - not bitter! Lol) and dubbed as ‘dirty, breeding grounds’...its all of our responsibility to prove these points wrong and AVOID a second wave at all costs.
Adhere to all gym rules and Covid related signage.
Use shelving provided for personal belongings.
DONT’s: DONT Superset - 1 station/machine at a time for EVERYONE, myself included.
DONT Ask me or anyone else for a spot/handout or share ANY kit/stations UNLESS they’re in your social bubble.
Come within less than 1m of anyone else...
IMPORTANT ONE...DONT COME TO THE GYM (OR ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER) IF YOU ARE AT ALL UNWELL OR SHOWING COVID SYMPTOMS.
DONT Leave clothing/belongings/devices on any machines/benches/surfaces ESPECIALLY any of the shelving provided for sanitary products.
Basically all common sense during this pandemic and generally not being a dick...
I’m sure that’s not everything but will add anything I’ve forgotten. It’s all pretty ranty and I promise I’m not a COMPLETE GRUMP but I have to be clear on what is expected of absolutely everybody. I’m looking forward to having you all back in, and getting you all back to doing what we all love.
Finally, just another Thank You to all of you who have kept the gym above water during this tough time, I hope you can see the changes and efforts made to improve the gym.
Chris
