🏊‍♂️ Carr Mill Tonight!

Just a quick reminder for any of our swimmers who fancy getting some open-water swimming in tonight at Carr Mill Dam.

There aren’t too many open-water evenings left this season, so make the most of them while we can! Would be great to see a good group down there swimming together. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Bala Triathlon 🏊🏼🚴🏼‍♀️🏃🏻

Last weekend, 5 of our athletes travelled to Bala to take on a triathlon 👏🏼

In the Legend Distance:
Mike Bailey completed the race in 5:20 and finished in 1st place in his age group 🥇
Kevan Howarth completed the race in 6:19 👏🏼

The Standard Distance was a European Age Group Qualifier and were awaiting results to see if our athletes have qualified 🤞🏼
Louise Johnson finished in 2:36 👏🏼
Sonya Monaghan finished in 2:41 👏🏼
Steve Makin finished in 2:53 👏🏼

Fantastic racing by all 😁🙌🏼

What a weekend for our athletes 🙌🏼👏🏼

Mel Sayed took part in the European masters in Bratislava and finished 3rd in the 200m breaststroke as well as placing 12th in both in the 400m freestyle and 400m individual medley 🏊🏼‍♀️

Luke Taylor took on the full Ironman Distance in Tallin, Estonia overcoming difficult conditions and finished in 12:37 🏊🏼🚴🏻‍♂️🏃🏻

Kevin Richardson completed the Geordieman Middle distance triathlon in 6:38 🏊🏼🚴🏻‍♂️🏃🏻

At the West Lancs Summer Events:
Robert Chesters finished the sprint triathlon 2nd in his age group in 1:08 🥈
Steve Makin finished 2nd in his age group in 1:14 🥈
Sonya Monaghan finished 1st in her age group in 1:17 🥇
Kelvin Gibbons finished in 1:15
Amy Corfield finished in 1:16
Kevan Howarth finished in 1:16
Michele Riley finished in 2:05

Paddy Lee finished 1st in his age group in the sprint duathlon in 1:22 🥇

Harriet King finished 2nd in her age group in the aqua bike in 59:10 🥈
