Today’s game was a tight affair. Both teams defences stood strong and both teams went into the break scoreless. We controlled territory for large parts of the first half but couldnt find the pass to break Halton open. The second half thatto got on the board first after a strong start. Unfortunately thatto tired late in the game conceding 2 late try’s. Amazing effort from all involved. Tough to be on the end of a loss in a tight game like today but we dust ourselves off and take the lessons and improve for next week. Lots to proud of and lots to build on. Team effort up the Heath ⚫️🔴⚪️

Today we knew we was up against a very strong team and had to be up for it. We went into the game with a game plan and played with intensity. The first half was end to end and the score line reflected an even contest. unfortunately in the second half in the pouring down rain we had lots of loose carries and knock ons early in sets giving away field position and we got punished for it. Very proud of the teams commitment to the final whistle. After a long summer holiday it was a perfect game to kick start the back end of our season and push forward.

The lads return to the field this Sunday for what should be a cracking game against Leigh East ARLFC. After a few weeks away, everyone will be raring to go, so get yourselves down, get behind the team and help us start the return to rugby with a bang! ❤️🖤

On Sunday 30th August, we are proud to be holding a fund raising day, all in aid of Prostate Cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with over 52,000 cases diagnosed every year. Roughly 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. Early-stage prostate cancer usually has no symptoms, making awareness and risk factor understanding vital for early detection.

In less than 24 hours marks the end of one incredible chapter and the beginning of another.

To all of our amazing Year 6 pupils, we want you to know just how proud we are of each and every one of you. Over the years you’ve grown in confidence, made lifelong friendships, overcome challenges, created unforgettable memories, and become the wonderful young people you are today.

Match recap from last night ⚔️⚔️

Tonight’s game was all about fun and trying new things out. We certainly achieved that with lots of smiles on faces and lots of position rotations. We’ve a great squad of players that worked their socks off throughout the game.

This player has spent this season mainly on the sidelines due to multiple injuries. Always turns up to support his team in training and games. It was lovely to see him back on the pitch doing what he loves. He worked hard and had push through the pain barrier to keep up with the pace of the game but didn’t miss a tackle and put a shift in on return.

Nathan, Bobby and Zac
these players played in different roles tonight to try something new and equally have more opportunities on the ball. They stood up to the challenge and delivered great passes throughout the game and also was great at running onto the ball. There was also a hunger from the players to win the collision and was excellent in defence.

Team performance and the coaches could have handed awards to the full team as they all adapted to change so well and performed.

Very tough game against very tough opponents ,, conceded a try in both halves but the physicality of the game was unreal,,
Tough one to take after such hard work but the Swords will learn and onto the next one,,
Back in training next week and hopefully get the results back on track ,,
