Mark Lee - Club Champion 2025.

Mark clinches victory after 5 playoff holes!! Simon Bragg and Mark Lee both had a combined score of 149 over 36 holes today which resulted in a playoff between the two.
The playoff holes seen some cracking golf with a couple of amazing up & downs to save par. The first 4 holes saw both of them par each hole and it was the 5th play off hole which sealed victory for Mark with a steady par.

Last Saturday was a great day for our 2025 Captains day. The weather couldn't have been better with sun all day and fair winds.
As scores were coming in the murmurings began. Could it be? Yes, it was!
This years Captain, Martin Robson and his father Neil Robson would clinch the trophy by a point (43 points)!
Second was also a father and son pairing - Jack and David Stubbings with 42 points.
In 3rd place it was Tony Morilla and Peter Aggett with 41 points.

The real winner was 'The Captains Dinner' or should we say 'The Captains' Wife's dinner!' Andria cooked a meal worthy of being served at Augusta - serving up fresh juicy burgers from the BBQ accompanied with potato salad and greek salad. It was a hit by all!

Big thanks to every single one of you who came down and supported the day and any donations for the raffle, it truly means a lot!

Big thanks also to Seascale Golf Club, Eskdale golf course and cafe & Whitehaven Golf Club who donated golf vouchers for their courses.

On the day we raised over £700 for the Captains charity which is for Calvert Lakes.

Thank you all for making the day a successful one!

Our newly renovated bunkers on the 1st and 2nd holes! The pot bunkers look great but you hope your ball never goes in them 🤣
I think Craig's giving demos on how to get out of them 😉
Thanks to Craig & Bill for their hard work as always - you wouldn't believe it but they are still friends after this renovation...just about! ⛳️🏌‍♂️

Congratulations to our captain Martin on your win at Silloth on Monday! Rumour has it he has been working with golf coach Craig Morrison - the St Bees Butch Harmon! Although you can only understand every second word he says 😂!!

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆 😎

Martin Robson was the champion of Round 2 of the England Captains Series as the 9-handicapper fired 38 points to win at Silloth on Solway Golf Club.

The St Bees Golf Club player made 1 birdie and 11 pars to see off the nearest competition of Michael Nettleton, Gary Bolton and Robert Kershaw, who all came in on 37 points.

A whopping seven players also came in on 36 points to qualify for the Regional Final.

St Bees Golf Club - Discounted Membership offer
We are pleased to offer a special introductory discount to applicants that have not been a Member of St Bees Golf Club in the last four years.
The offer is for a first year’s full membership for just £250 and commences on 1st March 2025.
This offer is aimed golfers returning to the game, or those that may be new to membership of a golf club.
Membership for subsequent years will be priced at the full membership rate, currently £350.
Applicants wishing to take up this offer and would like to start in Jan or Feb can do so for an additional £20 for each month. Please email [email protected] to agree terms.
