Mid-Cornwall Divers Mid Cornwall Divers (MCD) is a voluntary BSAC SCUBA diving club established in 1976. Mid Cornwall Divers (MCD) was established in 1976.

Diving is our passion and based in the St Austell area of Cornwall, we have an ideal central location which enables us to dive both the north and south coasts. Diving takes place every weekend "weather permitting" throughout the year. Evening and weekday dives are also undertaken in the summer months (weather dependent and tower availability). With the benefit of owning it's own towable boat, any

club member who wants to dive, is guaranteed to do so - conditions permitting - whether they want to go shallow or deep according to their qualification. Wreck diving sits high on our activity list, but this is complimented by scenic reef and drop off dives. Our very experienced club members participate in a whole range of diving from basic ocean diving through to Tri-Mix and more challenging dives. We enjoy a thriving membership and welcome new members and visiting divers to the club. We meet regularly at The White Pyramid, St Austell (membership of this club will be automatic when joining Mid Cornwall Divers) and hold our pool training sessions at The St Austell Leisure Centre in St Austell. We are keen to hear from qualified divers and will try to accommodate new divers subject to availability of instructors, weather and pool.

✨🎄🌊 Offer someone their first breath underwater this Christmas 🌊🎄✨

Mid Cornwall Divers offers BSAC Try Dives for ages 9+. Each session includes a full briefing with an instructor, followed by a full hour underwater in the St Austell Leisure Centre pool 🤿💦. All equipment is provided — just bring swimwear, a rash vest or T-shirt, and a towel. Every participant receives a BSAC Try Dive certificate 🏅

Christmas gift prices:
• £30 for one person
• £40 for two people on the same night

We dived the Anna Sofie shipwreck, which sits in 40m of water, enjoying 15m+ visibility! We're pretty certain we saw the world's largest crayfish...

We also visited Trevose Head, for those looking for a shallower dive.

Ever fancied exploring further than 's beaches? Reefs and shipwrecks, teeming with all sorts of colourful sea life, right here on your doorstep.

If so, we're running an Ocean Diver course in February 2025 - this qualification will allow you to explore not only Cornwall, but marine reefs worldwide, down to 20 meters deep.

We're club, and meet socially each week, operate two of our own boats and (weather permitting!) dive at least once a week.

Spaces are limited and offered by our own volunteer instructors, so get in touch today!
