As we come to the close of the season this Sunday (24th), it’s now time to complete some essential jobs for our upcoming tournament, end of season work, and general ground renovations.
If you can spare a couple of hours this Sunday 24th from 12–2pm, it would be hugely appreciated. If you’re able to stay longer, please feel free to carry on. If you can help, please let the club know and, if possible, put your name down for a task so we know what’s covered and what still needs doing.
Jobs needing completion:
• Soil down pitch areas (goal mouths, centre circles, divots, etc.)
• Remove 9v9 and 11v11 goals and fill holes
• Remove ball net
• Strim the whole ground
• Strim the compound area
• Clear rubbish/debris around the ground
• Paint front metal gates black
• Fill holes in the overflow car park
• Deweed all path slabs
• Apply all weather joint compound to paths after weeding
• Pump water out of IBCs and remove them
• Empty and clear water butts near the front corner of the shed
• Remove toilet sinks
Please note: we only have a small battery powered strimmer, so if you have your own cordless or petrol strimmer, please bring it along if possible. We do have some gloves and tools at the club, but if you have your own gloves, hand tools, or anything else that may help with the jobs above, please bring them along too.
We need a strong team of volunteers to pull together and get this work done.
