Essential course maintenance ⛳️

We‘ve been out on the course this week, utilizing our linear aerator! 🚜💨

This machine works by slicing narrow, continuous grooves into the turf to instantly channel excess water away from the surface. 💦

Beneath the ground, its unique wave-action blades shatter hard, compacted soil. This opens up vital pathways for oxygen and water pe*******on deep down to the roots, ensuring better drainage, and healthier, more resilient turf - all with minimal disruption to your game! 🌱

Summer Course Improvements ⛳️

Our Greenkeeping team have been hard at work all summer to improve specific areas of the course 🚜

5th hole stream clearance to aid drainage and playability 💦

5th tee elevated and repositioned 🏌🏼‍♂️

10th hole integration almost complete with the green complex taking shape 😯

16th hole redesign and almost ready for play 🔜

Tremendous work by the team and we can’t wait to see the course back to it’s brilliant best in the new year 🤩

We love supporting the local community at Porthpean GC 🤗

Back in August we welcomed Charlestown Flappers WI for a Coffee morning and we’re always open for hot drinks, cake and Cornish cream teas throughout the week 🍰☕️🫖

If you’re looking for the perfect venue to meet with friends or colleagues, like this wonderful group of ladies, we’d be delighted to host 👋🏼

18th Pond makeover ⛲️

One of our signature features on the course is the pond next to the 18th green. This week work is complete on draining, matting and refilling it to clean the water and provide a thriving habitat for pond wildlife. It will also be an important source of water for our greens at the top end ot the course 🦆

Unfortunately, we aren’t able to remove the hazard it presents to approaches into 18 and it will still swallow up your golf ball if you miss the target 🤭

Outstanding work by all involved to complete this so swiftly 👏🏼
