Well it’s a gorgeous day, sunshine, gentle westerly wind of 12 mph.
A beautiful day to be out on the water. What more could one ask for. Kayaks double and single, hard and soft Paddleboards.

An exciting first trip for our RIB ride cuztomers today. A mayday came in from Falmouth coastguard about one of two just ski’s sinking off the Gribbon. When we arrived two men were in the water next to a sinking jet ski. We brought them on board with the help of two passengers and luckily, a friend of mine Caroline Tomswho is a paramedic was there to check them over ( and also very good on the radio! )
We handed them over to a boat from Fowey with a Royal Navy helicopter in attendance.

Well, first job this morning was take the SUPs down on the trailer, then launch the rescue boat at Charlestown, off to Fowey to pick up Bumble Bee from Seafari ready for you all this afternoon for your trips, starting at 2:00 pm from Charlestown.
First person to tell me in the comments what the original use of the ‘ block house’ was in the picture has 50% discount on an hour Kayak or SUP hire !

Today we had our fleet of new 10’6” Jobe Yarra boards arrive. We are now dealers for all Jobe SUPs and water toys. They are beautifully made and and a great Fin system. It’s light at 9.5 kg ready to go and extremely tough, well, it has to be for you lot !!
It has carrying handles at each end and really rigid. They are just waiting for you to have fun on the water!

Tomorrow, Saturday, we are going to to open for Kayaking, and paddleboarding from 11:00 am . In partnership with Seafari from Fowey we will be offering Rib rides on Bumble Bee, an 8.5 metre RIB which can carry 12 passengers.
Feel free to visit us, we look forward to meeting you.
Note we can only do Rib Rides 2 hours either side of low tide.

Today a replica of the Santa Maria ship, the first boat to discover the Americas in 1492, arrived at Charlestown harbour and is here till Tuesday. Well worth a look.
Managed to get some nice shots of her while skippering the Seafari RIB today.
