Hawkey Cup Semi-Final time. 🏏🔥

The 1st XI travel to Wadebridge this evening with a place in the Hawkey Cup Final on the line.

Following an impressive league victory over Camborne at the weekend, the side will be looking to carry that momentum into one of the biggest games of the season. Congratulations once again to Hayden Coad and Tom Mallet, who retain their places in the side after making their ECB Premier League debuts on Saturday.

Saints batted first with a confident batting innings, with only 1 wicket loss. Great decision making, shot selection and smart running.

It was a high energy and effort all round, which we then took back out into the field. With a determined and united fielding unit demonstrating support, cover, confidence, fantastic bowling and accurate throw ins all resulted in us taking 3 of st Neots wickets and giving us the well deserved victory.

A very top effort all round and hosted by a great competition out at st neot, cracking game and teas. Thanks to our sponsors for our kit and thanks to everyone that came out to support us and to our scorers and umpires. 🥇🏏

A brilliant weekend across the club with three standout individual performances helping the sides to important results. 👏

Rowen Taplin led the way for the 1st XI with a classy 60 from 66 deliveries against Camborne, striking 7 fours and a six in a match-winning innings. A vital contribution at the top of the order and another excellent knock from Rowen, proudly sponsored by The Britannia Inn. 🔴🔵

James Carter produced a superb spell for the 2nd XI at Lanhydrock, returning outstanding figures of 5-29 from 6.3 overs, including 3 maidens. A match-defining performance with the ball that helped seal a convincing victory, proudly sponsored by Bradfords Building Supplies. 🔴🔵

Frank Clowes starred for the 4th XI with a brilliant 53, including 10 boundaries, helping set up a 36-run win over Werrington. Another excellent innings from one of the club's exciting young talents, proudly sponsored by Cornish Core Pilates. 🔴🔵

A strong all-round performance sees this week's Saturday League Player of the Match awarded to Connor Cooke, proudly sponsored by The Rashleigh Inn. 👏

Batting at number three, Connor played an important role in the innings, sharing a key partnership with Rowen Taplin to help build the platform for our 36-run victory over Camborne. He then backed it up with an excellent spell with the ball, finishing with figures of 1-24 from his 10 overs at an impressive economy rate of just 2.4.
