Hope I'm not stealing Jess,s thunder here but because of everyones amazing support during this difficult time I was able thismorning after tip off and consultation with jess one more new wireless scoring system and three new LP eléctricos foils , one left and two right handed.
Two wireless pistes folks . Thanks again for continuing to support and I will be popping in one evening when things have settled

Come on you lot sign up

Dear all,

We are currently working with a German film company who are currently making a Rosamunde Pilcher book into a film. The main character in the book is a fencer, and they are looking for some fencers to be extras in a competition scene.

This film will be shown on prime time TV in Germany, but will probably never make it on to the screens in the UK.

The scene will be filmed in the fencing club in Truro on Friday 21st July. The time is still to be confirmed, but it's likely to be the morning and take 3-4 hours.

The scene is the beginning of the competition, before the fencing actually starts. They need extras to arrive at the hall, carrying their fencing bags in. They then want people in the background warming up, getting dressed, maybe doing a bit of fencing and generally just milling in fencing kit.

They need 12 female and 7 male fencers and will pay £50 to each fencer. This will be paid directly by the film company to the fencer on the day of filming.

Fencers are asked to bring in their own fencing kit and fencing bags.

They have asked for fencers aged 17 and over.

If you are interested in taking part in this please let me know asap. As there are limited spaces available I will offer the spaces on a first come, first served basis.

Dear all,

Unfortunately, Carclaze School have informed us that the hall is unavailable on 7th and 14th July.

Instead, we will be running the St Austell Club at the fencing club in Truro instead on those two dates. All St Austell club members are invited and encouraged to come up to Truro on Friday 7th and Friday 14th July at the usual times.

Everything will be back to normal on Friday 21st July.

I apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, but unfortunately this is beyond our control.

Dear fencers and friends

Following the sad passing of our former Lead Foil Coach Paul Caine, Paul's family have set up a crowd-funding page for donations in Paul's memory.

I know I speak for the whole club when I say we are devastated by the news of Paul Caine passing. He was an amazing coach, brilliant mentor and supporter of the club .
He will be sorely missed .
